Luke 37178
Can you give an example of where the quality dropdown is empty? for example, is it a video, or a folder, or album, etc? Thanks.
Trevor68 48
sorry, your too fast! (see my edit), yes movies and tv shows, so they are video files i am trying to sync. Unfortunately I cannot test further for a few days, as away from my local network.
scanner50 8
Can you give an example of where the quality dropdown is empty? for example, is it a video, or a folder, or album, etc? Thanks. scanner50 8
Ok updated to 3.4.6.365 and still have an empty quality menu for syncing individual videos. And based on Luke's query I tried syncing an entire season, empty there too.
swhitmore 781
Ok updated to 3.4.6.365 and still have an empty quality menu for syncing individual videos. And based on Luke's query I tried syncing an entire season, empty there too. Same result here. I also tried creating a sync job from the web client. It was added on the server, but the app never sees it.
7illusions 1249
Can anyone post a screenshot of how it looks with the quality dropdown opened?
Trevor68 48
Sure, one shows all my devices, the other shows the MT quality box if I choose my laptop (trevor68). Of those devices only Wintab and my Android Tab actually work (sync files). The laptop is the only device with the blank field problem though, all other devices I can choose the quality. http://1drv.ms/1SF9s90 http://1drv.ms/1SF9AVW Edited January 24, 2016 by Trevor68

swhitmore 781
Nothing happens if I click it. The drop down arrow just goes missing.

ianrathbone 0
Same problem here I'm afraid I can't get sync to work. But it was working a few weeks ago. I've upgraded both the server (3.0.5818.0) and the Win10 app to the latest version (3.4.6.365) and I'm getting the attached error in the logs. This happens on two machines I have the Win10 Emby App on. Just can't get sync to work anymore, just says queued. Sync appears briefly in the top right when the app starts but goes very quickly. Also the "Offline" option has disappeared in the main menu. Trevor68 48
Nothing happens if I click it. The drop down arrow just goes missing. Same here.
swhitmore 781
I made a sync job on the server yesterday through the web client. It still hasn't showed on the app yet.
7illusions 1249
Can't you see it in the app sync-settings view? (UserIcon -> Sync)
Trevor68 48
Sync jobs remain MT on my laptop. Can only be seen on the server,
7illusions 1249
If it can't be seen in the app, I really start to think that something is messed up serverside. It must be something with the deviceId that is wrong. Can you get me a log from the app, and server, when you go into the Sync-view in the app? Trevor68 48
I have often contemplated that the issue is serverside, especially given the server was listing my laptop twice even after I did a clean install on it. The only way I stopped that happening was to rename my laptop, it has never happened since. Here is the server log, where does the app store logs? BTW the app is chock full of background scheduler and RT Logger errors. serverlog.txt
Vicpa 568
Hi @@Trevor68,@7illusions I have been trying to think back, as this happened on one of my machines. It was definitely a result of having the client listed twice by the server. Can't recall exactly how it was sorted. You have probably have done this but make sure you deleted the old device name from the server. Server dashboard/ devices. Revoke the api key for the old device name. dashboard/advanced/security. and lastly double check in the server install folder on the server pc under data/devices that there is not a folder with the device id of the old name. The delete of the device and api key from the dashboard should take care of it. but if it still doesn't work verify it is not there. Click into each folder, there is a device.json file in each, open in notepad at top is the device name if you find one with the old name just delete the whole folder. (Just because you can , I would copy the whole device folder to some alternate location before you delete anything so you have fallback if something goes south.) Like I said you may have checked this already, I just remember fighting devices showing up twice in the past causing sync issues. Not sure if it was ever identified why that happens. hope this may help, -vicpa

I remember theorising a while back that it was something to do with the computer name, so a device id issue makes sense. After adding the sync job on the server, it never appears in the app.

However the device I'm having this issue on is not duplicated in my list of devices so not sure that that is the issue.
devoid 2
I am also a premier member, and just went through the windows store to purchase the app, for the sole purpose of sync...only to find this issue. I have a windows surface pro 4, running windows 10. In emby server devices, it shows up as Emby RT. Sometimes it shows up with 2 identical devices, I've deleted them and logged back in, but still run into the same issue. Right now, the issue is: If I click a show, a movie, or a season, and choose sync, it brings up the "Sync Media" menu. My device is filled in, in the "Sync to:", however, Quality is blank, and clicking it only makes the down arrow disappear. Clicking back off still leaves a blank drop down. Despite this, I can click sync and the menu goes away....but nothing happens. It doesn't actually create a sync job.
