Angelblue05 4131 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) You should try it out, in case, because we write directly to database maybe something old remained around even after the reset and is causing this to happen. The way the API is read for Kodi is if the item is played in Emby, then write Emby playcount to the database. If it's unplayed, then playcount is zero. @@cw-kid Edit: If it still happens, can you post your log of the sync? - don't forget to set the log level to info before the sync starts! Thanks Edited May 20, 2015 by Angelblue05
cw-kid 192 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 OK will do. I am right in thinking at this stage the Kodi nfo files have nothing to do with it, now I have all my content imported in to Emby? I just looked at the "2 Guns" nfo file and it looks wrong: <playcount>0</playcount> <watched>true</watched> The <watched> tag I added with the Notepad++ find and replace process earlier. The <playcount> tag, not sure if Kodi or Emby has put that back in there.
cw-kid 192 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) This is interesting, if in the Emby web GUI I mark "2 Guns" as not watched, then the nfo file has changed to this: <playcount>0</playcount> <watched>false</watched> If I then mark it as watched again in the Emby web GUI now the nfo file has changed to this: <playcount>1</playcount> <watched>true</watched> So I wonder why playcount was initially set as zero even when "2 Guns" was initially marked as watched. Angelblue05 4131 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Really odd, I will add a something for this then. Thanks I didn't think there was a scenario where playcount could be 0 and the item played, but it seems it can happen.
cw-kid 192 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 "16 Blocks" is another title that is marked as watched in Emby web GUI but is showing as unwatched in Kodi. If I look at its nfo file it also looks wrong: <playcount>0</playcount> <watched>true</watched>
Angelblue05 4131 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 @@cw-kid can you try the github version to see if it fixes the problem? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Kodi All you need to do is import from scratch again. But before doing that, download the github zip. Go to %appdata/Roaming/Kodi/addons/plugin.video.emby and replace everything with the content from the zip. Start Kodi and let the initial scan run and let me know if those problematic titles are ok now. Thanks
cw-kid 192 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 When you say import from scratch, you mean I just do a local DB reset again in Kodi (and delete DB file), but first updating the add-ons files ? Cheers
Angelblue05 4131 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Oops, yes this is correct Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
cw-kid 192 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 OK I deleted the DB and updated the add-on and its doing a full sync now, should take some hours to complete.

cw-kid 192 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Scan started at 11:30am its now 6pm and the scan has only just completed!
Angelblue05 4131 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Seriously well hopefully this is the last time! I added a playcount fix following the scenario where item is played but playcount is zero. It should display your problem movies as watched, now. *fingers crossed* Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

cw-kid 192 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 No worries, I am going to look at the mediainfo icons next a bit more closely, see what's affected with that issue exactly? Did you see the other new thread about albums with multi discs and sorting in Kodi? Can you replicate that issue? Cheers

cw-kid 192 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Out of interest I just added a new movie title and Emby creates a new nfo file, inside is: <playcount>0</playcount> <watched>false</watched> So looks like Emby is creating both those tags for new titles.
Angelblue05 4131 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) You still have the wrong icons reflecting? It should not affect anything. When you play something the correct information is detected automatically when the path is given to Kodi. The best way to test might be to try and replace an item in quality and see if the icon changes to reflect the new mediainfo. Yes I've seen your other post. However music is really Marcelveldt's area. He will come back to you on this, as soon as he has a chance, I'm sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited May 20, 2015 by Angelblue05
cw-kid 192 Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Yes for those two .MOV files we were talking about in the other thread, they are actually SD but in Kodi it has a 1080P flag still. If I start to play one and then stop it, the flag is still wrong when viewing the movie information page. Which is why I was going to check all the various video formats to see what flags they are showing and if they are correct or not? 1

Angelblue05 4131 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Yea but even then, I'm trying to think... I have less movies but same amount of tv shows and it takes me 2-3minutes for the initial sync... My brother has triple the tv shows, less movies and it only takes 30minutes. Even start up sync should be 1-2 seconds, not 10 minutes. I wonder what could explain this...
