It looks up the trailer listings from the stored tmdb meta and downloads the vids from YouTube as and when it can. I use it myself all the time so its regularly updated as and when things change, Might be just what you need. Shameful self promotion i know, but it works. ebr 14913 Posted December 1, 2014 Share Posted December 1, 2014 The question about release level isn't irrelevant in theory because it was actually a version of the server that deleted the existing plug-in install. In reality, it doesn't matter now because the server has been released. We should not have deleted the old plug-in before we had the new functionality implemented. The new plugin has named these automatically, which fail to match as trailers to the server, but instead as movies of their own. The rest of my collection, downloaded with the prior trailers plugin are fine. Are new trailers supposed to show up in latest? They never have before. It appears its just saving to movie name and year, not respecting filenames with regards to saving local trailers now. In regards to attack of the killer tomatoes, it used -trailer.divx.avi as the extension causing it. In regards to avatar, it not letting me use multiple trailers [0-9] anymore, -trailer2.mp4. The server used to respect it as a trailer, as long as it was in the folder with -trailer in it. It doesn't do this any anymore? If it doesn't others will have this issue shortly. One with ..mp4 Although this happened at the start of October, and I haven't noticed till now. The movies that I added after that date are working fine. My meta data is all provided by MetaBrowser2 and up until the last MBS dev (3.0.5451.540) update all was good. Like the others I suddenly had duplicate trailers being downloaded and added as movies in the web client. Strange thing is it didn't happen to all of my movies - about 10 or so (out of about 400) from memory. Ranging from a couple of Harry Potter movies to Philomena, Payback, The avengers and a couple of others. All had new (duplicated) fan art with the movie name appended and were created at the time of the MBS upgrade. To stop it happening, I had to disable MBS meta data fetching. I had a couple of new trailers with the "***-trailer..ext" issue but not all of the affected movies had it. I have the "Trailers plugin v1.0.5448.33319 installed if that make any difference. I can't show you any screen shots as it has all been put back as it was before the update. Is there anything else I can provide? EDIT: should I remove the trailers plugin if MBS can fetch trailers by itself? 2nd EDIT: I also have the Trailers channel installed - is this a case of too many fingers in the pie? I'm getting xml and various other metadata files being created for the trailers, so is this why? I've disabled the download of trailers for my local movies. . c4pete 2 Posted December 6, 2014 Share Posted December 6, 2014 I think what Luke is saying is that at some point local trailer download functionality will return as an option in the trailer channel, and when it does, it will match films much more accurately, so it sounds positive to me.
