emby_infuse 3 Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 RPReplay_Final1720887413.mov Hey there, I am having issues with one of my libraries. I have all my Doctor Who shows split apart from regular shows. With this DW library I am able to see my tags but I am unable to see the content of my tags. This issue lies only with the iOS app. I am able to see them in iOS Safari. This issue does not occur with other libraries. If the issue existed across platforms then it would suggest it’s an issue with library. However, because it’s app dependent, that could suggest it’s an issue with the app? But then, why would it only occur with one library?
Luke 39614 Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Hi, what exactly do you mean by "see my tags" ? What are you defining as a tag?

I’ll try to explain it from the ground up. With any item in any library, I can add a tag within the metadata. Once tagged, any tag will be visible in the Tag menu alongside Collections, Genres, etc.. Under the Tag menu will be any various tag I have assigned content. These I can see. However, when I click on one of those tags, I am unable to see any content with that particular assigned tag. It’s that what I cannot see with the iOS app but I can with Emby in safari. Does that make sense?
Luke 39614 Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Can you please provide a specific example? Thanks.

The video shows it where tagged items do not show up in iOS but do in Safari when you open said Tag. Can't get my iphone to connect to test servers right now will test on an item in a remote server. Sort of like parental controls was showing empty tags but can't be that if another client displays them. 1
Happy2Play 9351 Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 (edited) But testing in iOS app 2.2.23 I did not see any issue with seeing Tagged items in Tags tab when selecting the tag. Edited July 13, 2024 by Happy2Play 1

Luke 39614 Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Hi, please try Emby for iOS 2.2.23 once available for your device, thanks.

The issue remains the same. Also, I just deleted the app and downloaded it again. Unfortunately, that didn’t have a positive effect either.
Luke 39614 Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Have you added the tags at the series level or episode?

Happy2Play 9351 Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 I can say tagging Season shows no content in ET 3.0.20 and Android 3.4.11 also.

I beg your pardon. I did indeed mean season. I’ve also done the odd episode in this library. Those do appear correctly.

emby_infuse 3 Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 Also, at Series level it DOES work. And, Episode level it does NOT work.
Luke 39614 Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 OK that's because when you click on a tag it's currently set to only show series. So that's something that would need to be looked at.

In other words, can it be done in a soon-ish timeframe?
Happy2Play 9351 Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Technically a change needs pushed to every client beside the web client as it is the only one that shows tagged Seasons in my tests. ie Android, iOS, ET
emby_infuse 3 Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 Understood. I appreciate all your assistance in figuring this out. It looks like it’s safe to carry on with the tagging and eventually, it’ll do what I had hoped for. 1
