Nothing has changed since my last post. Still server 4.8.8.0 and TV app "Emby for LG 1.0.44", and they are working just fine. I can see in the dashboard that they are transcoding, and I haven't meddled with the transcoding settings. Could it be that when I tried 1.0.44 last time, it was right after the LG store update and it didn't quite unload and reload the app? Regards, CJ Can you play the same file as your earlier test (Back to the Future Part III (1990).mkv) and attach a new remux log so that we can compare it to the one you posted on 18/August

I resumed and paused a couple of times, and did a play for beginning as well. Here are the logs. SamES 1004 Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 You must have a bitrate limit set. Check whether the playback quality setting is set to auto. This limit is causing it to transcode which is probably why it’s working for you now compared to your earlier tests when it was remuxing.

Hey Sam, So I did reply, and then checked a couple of things, and managed to break it again. So I removed the whole post and screenshots, as they aren't relevant anymore. --- EDIT --- I looked at the settings > Playback on the TV itself, and the "Home network quality" setting was blank. I set it back to "Auto" and now the issue has re-surfaced. Regards, CJ Edited September 5, 2024 by CraigJ

As far as I can see, local network is set to not limit the stream. Attached are a couple of screenshots from the dashboard. Manage Server > Server > Network & My understanding is that the below setting should only apply for my internet users, and not my local network users. As you can see above, the client IP falls into the 10.0.0.0/8 subnet. The below is the setting for local users Playback... I'm happy to help in any way to help resolve this Regards, CJ You're checking settings server-side - you need to cheek them client-side, i.e. in your LG TV app Playback settings (and/or OSD cog menu during playback), change Quality from "Auto" (or whatever the quality currently is set to, might be 6 Mbps?) to some fixed numeric value high enough that your network can handle (based on your BttF III screenshot, at least >8 Mbps). Thanks I discovered that and updated my original post. You were much faster on the response than I was expected. I appreciate it though.

The original issue of older models that upgrade to newer webOS and don't support DTS should not already be remuxing audio correctly since the last update
CraigJ 3 Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Hey folks, I just upgraded to Emby server v4.8.110 and LG app v1.0.46 and I'm still seeing this issue. I'm in my app settings on the LG, I've got Playback settings set to Auto for all the "Video" streaming quality settings. Let me know if you want some logs. Regards, CJ

Can you please explain exactly the issue you are having and what you're expecting to occur? I think this topic has become confused with a few different issues.
