TroySun 0 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I'm setting up live TV through NextPVR and I cannot get Emby Guide Data to accept my UK postcode (format: AA99AA). I'm a premiere member, so from what I've read in other posts, it should work? Is it perhaps a syntax parsing issue? I've seen that before with developers from other countries implementing postcode parsing. E.G. some postcodes are AA999AA, and often there is a space included eg: NG32 3ND. Alas, there's no tooltips to help to indicate what the program is expecting in terms of formatting.
psymon_e 2 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Sorry I was logged into the wrong account. Same person as above
Luke 38874 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Hi, are there shorter versions of the zip code that you can try?
psymon_e 2 Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Alas, I have tried the shorter version. I'm going to obfuscate my postcode using different characters, for obvious reasons, but the format of mine is: mh64ty So then I tried mh064ty, mh6 4ty, mh06 4ty, mh6 04ty, mh604ty It doesn't seem to accept any of these variants.
ebr 15439 Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Actually, I think it is the first half. First pinned topic in this forum: 1
Solution psymon_e 2 Posted December 14, 2023 Solution Posted December 14, 2023 OH! so, just the first half of the postcode! it worked for mine with XX9 format. Might be worth adding a tip stating it only needs the first half. (The first half of the UK postcode is the larger area. The second half narrows it down to specific sections of a street, so it makes sense the guide only needs the general location info) 1
