MacGyver27 17
I have bought Zidoo ZX9 Pro and am pleasantly surprised. Thought it wont be possible to install android apps but it is. So apart from internal media player you can have others available from play store.. so far no issues with the playback and am pretty satisfied. Thanks for the recommendation! 1

What we really need is a comprehensive test of all the 'high end' codecs to see what Exoplayer (the Android player) will passthrough or play. I'm personally interested in it's ability to play/passthrough - MKV container Dolby Vision - Profile 5, Profile 7.x and Profile 8.x If any of these drop back to HDR10, then that's a big fail. True-HD with Atmos (standard) True-HD (96Kbit) with Atmos DTS-HD DTS-HRA DTS-X AAC 7.1 HDR10+ AV1 decode in hardware Thanks !

Do you see the option to select the Zidoo player as an external player within the Emby app? Temporary workaround in case Exoplayer doesn't support something hardware wise for now. Temporary workaround in case Exoplayer doesn't support something hardware wise for now. In the menu I can select external player, then it will open the "video gallery" player which is Zidoo player. One thing I have noticed, when I had audio passthrough settings in Zidoo set up to RAW it couldnt play DTS-HD Master Audio (neither in Zidoo player, Plex or Emby). When I configured passthrough mode to LPCM it was able to play given audio everywhere. For now have it set to auto, so it seems it will understand if there are compatibility issues and will use PCM when needed. Anyway I could find time to test it but would need to know which movies need to find for which codecs.. Or do you have a server I can connect to? MacGyver27 17
I have also notice Emby layout is bit different on Zidoo (77") vs on Android Sony TV (65"): Sony TV 65" Android: Samsung TV 77" Zidoo:
FrostByte 5051
You can probably change the default layout to TV mode. I've read somewhere that Emby doesn't default to TV on Zidoo for some reason.

Luke 37084
Hi. Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.

Looks like a theater for the Windows. Why it is different via google play then? Thanks! EDIT: When I tried installing via this link, it says the Zidoo device is incompatible(also my Sony TV in the living room). So I installed it via APK file as seen above. FrostByte 5051
Emby currently has both an AndroidTV and a standard Android app with plans to eventually combine the two and just support one app. As you mentioned the standard Android app has the same ET look as other apps including the Tizen app. I don't believe the standard Android app is in the Google play store yet, hopefully soon.
