Hello.

I'm in app.emby.media website and I want to know where I can find a host to connect to the server.

You need to have your own server installed and configured or someone need to share their server with you.

Emby is NOT a media streaming service. We provide no content. Emby is a Personal Media Server platform. You must have your own server installed and your own media (or Live TV tuner).

Your server is where you have installed it; or otherwise where your friend who is letting you use their server has installed it.

Emby the organisation makes software for you to use; it is not a media provider.

Settings>Dashboard should tell you both your LAN and WAN addresses.

If localhost works but another computer on the network doesn't, Then (assuming you're on Windows) check that the server machine's network is set to "Private".

I'm using the same machine and I make network private,  but it is the same.

If using the same machine doesn't work, how did you get the screenshots?

Ah, I see; what you meant was that setting the network Private didn't help.

As a test, to see if it's where the issue is, can you access Emby if the Windows firewall is turned off on the server computer?

Let's get basic - can you ping the server machine from another? (at a command prompt just type "ping 192.168.0.23")

OK.  Next, forget app.emby.media; in your browser just go directly to http://192.168.0.23:8096

Yes. It will go directly to localhost which I already registered.

I think there's some misunderstanding here; localhost is whatever machine you are running on.  Aren't you trying to access your Emby from a different machine? - in which case it would seem that you have succeeded.  But where is it telling you that you are connected to localhost?

So what is the difference between the local host and app.emby.media? When I type "http://192.168.0.23:8096" in a web browser it will take me to Localhost.

No, it will not take you to localhost, which is the machine you are running your browser on - it will take you to the machine with the address 192.168.0.23

It also occurs to me that app.emby.media will connect using https by default - try starting it with http://app.emby.media to force using http and see if you then get what you expect.
