lh1983 7 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 This is a request from my wife, who likes Plex better because you can select the audio track and subtitles before launching the movie. I like MBT better as an all-in-one solution to Plex's more limited capacity, but I have to hand this one to her: that feature really is nice when dealing with a lot of foreign-language content. 6
Beardyname 197 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Are you switching languages a lot or something? Since you (usually) want to for example have the default audio track for the movie and English as subtitle, Check your user profile page and set it up how you want it.
gcoupe 63 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Living in a dual-language household (English & Dutch), we do switch languages a lot. And the ability to switch language and subtitle language before playing a movie is very convenient. Having it set in stone in the user profile - not so much. So I'd like this feature as well.

(with that said mb is all about choice so hopefully we can have that setting somewhere along the road)
gcoupe 63 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 It doesn't have to be a popup - merely selectable on the Details page of the movie. Currently, MBT shows what subtitles are available, but doesn't allow you to choose. Plex allows you to choose.

Wife speaks Spanish and watches Spanish-language TV.
saitoh183 137 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I would add to this request that it be a option you can define and not a hardcoded choice
sh0rty 521 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Push, a very convenient solution, specially for movies with lot of subtitles.
