my system is docker install on armbian ubuntu. what's you system? please!

i will investigate further

both my truenas core and my windows system  find it fine with 3 dot menu\identify, the system type should not make a difference.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is if there is a problem accessing or downloading the movie list that the adm plugin uses.

I remember that my truenas system had an issue with this.  It downloads the server movie list to cache\ADM\movielist.txt

I personally fixed this issue by moving my cache from the jail to a mounted folder, by copying the cache contents to my mounted folder, the entered the shell to delete the jail cache folder contents and then mounting the folder I created to the original path.

Can you check that your movie list is up to date in the cache path?  Or if it even was able to save it there.

The problem may be here. Unable to download list. Although displayed successfully. but, cache/ADM  folder is empty.

It looks like docker has the same issue as truenas had.

Emby loads the DLL, emby owns the process that writes the file but it seems it's not allowed to write it there.  I don't know why because it was allowed to create the folder.  It's some sort of permission issue.  It'll be a read only filesystem for any other process other that emby, which is what appears to be happening.

Can you create a folder outside of your jail/ container that has all permissions then mount the adm folder to it?  That's a working solution, I think I need to find a better solution though.

ubuntu deb and windows exe and docker I've tried everything, All the same. Folder already mapped, Not in container.

I altered the path builder in the download string , im not sure it'll make a difference but it might do

I have also added code to try and get the systems temp folder path and use that if the cache path fails.

* Finally found the error in Identify when it finds many results but fails to display them - THIS IS NOW FIXED!!
This was not easy to find but it turns out that it was an easy fix once I found it.  The error appeared to be random, but actually it wasn't.
It was an error parsing data from the server on a record, so returning an item with null (nothing) to emby, cancelled the whole list of items...

I can find the correct movie db but it cannot replace the previous wrong data. Everytime I click the replace it will loading and then nothing happen.

First to diagnose this I require a few things - 3 things .....

1. Click the edit metadata and supply me with the ADM number (you might need to install Provider Id Extender to see it - attached below)

Provider Id extender is not finished , its still very much beta

Provider_Ids_Extender.zip

If you do then

Go to the Movies Tab

  Selctect ADM

Click Metadata Edit, and this field will show you the ADM number

This allows me to find the exact record on the server

 

2. I will need a hyperlink to the correct information.  In the example above its , so supply me with yours which you are checking it against.

Why do I need this?

I need this to check that the information supplied by the ADM plugin is correct before we can look and see what is wrong.

 

3.  Then check you log directory and delete the ADM logs. 
Restart Emby otherwise ADM might be doing other tasks requested by Emby when we need it to do only our task.

Refresh this Item only and supply the logs (You might need to turn these on and save the settings before you restart Emby)

So what was wrong?

I have done nothing to fix it, the providers id extender will not have fixed it, but oinly exposed the id that was hidden from you.

 

maybe the restart and refresh did it.  I dont know what changed in emby but I have noticed that the refresh metadata doesnt happen for a while if the server is busy in the background in recent versions.

I have no idea， I just install the Provider Id Extender and restart, the issue fixed.
