Do we know when this might be added to the server please? This has been ongoing for some time and I think @Lukesaid a while back it would be fixed in 4.8.XXX Any ideas please Would seem odd to rotate them manually via some editing tool only to have to undo that when the fix arrives?

Yes. I found the recovery link but I made a huge mistake if my memory is at all OK. I created the new account but I think I used the same email as I used before and the recovery resets that account. I think that if you would simply delete the Elijah_Baley2 account for me I could then recover the password for Elijah_Baley Also I received a message earlier that said the old account had been locked. I I am sorry if I offended you as my new computer is not displaying everything correctly, yet. I guess I just need my new account deleted and the old one reactivated. I lost a LOT in that little fire but at least my main Emby server is fine and nothing I lost is truly irreplaceable. It just feels that way as my old brain seems unable to recall all the details. One thing that really irks me is that I know better than to keep everything together but all my main computer and all its backup data was stored on/in one desk in a corner. I really protect my Emby system but I am not so good at protecting my personal data and equipment. Once I get most things reset I will store a hard copy in my fire proof safe ant that is well away from where the fire was. BTW: Computers smell HORRIBLE when they are caught in a fire. It took me over a day to get the smell out of my home but I would have been a LOT worse off if I did not have fire extinguishers. The fire was intense in the corner but it did not spread at all.

@Luke @ebr and anybody else that can help. I am actually Elijah_Baley but I had a fire and lost my info to login. I am pretty sure i know the email address but the password is a total blank in my memory. I had a small fire but it wiped out my primary computer, not the one Emby is on, It also wiped out all my paper notes. I thank you for any help. BTW: Why does the login page not have a "lost password" link?

Sorry but the App that I installed was from the Windows store as the Surface Pro 11 is an Arm processor Win 11 2 in 1 tablet. So I don't think it will install but the same happens on the latest win 11 installation on an Intel NUC. What puzzles me is why I can't delete the server when trying to log in. Also are there any considerations where to delete any cache entries for the Emby theater app.

It's a feature I'd really like to use but, unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be supported by Emby. If getting emby to implement it is a long shot, what server software could I potentially host to get that feature? Thanks again!

Hi. He means use the "Edit metadata" menu item on one of those items not showing the 3D text. Does that indicate that the item is 3D?

I've got a new user that seems to be caught in a loop with Emby Connect. So she's trying to sign in using Emby Connect from her iPad and enters her email and password - she's the greeted with a page that offers the choices; Add Server, Sign in with Emby Connect, and Downloads. So Add Server asks her for the Host Server address, which of course she doesn't know (kinda the whole point of Emby Connect, right?), Sign in with Emby Connect just starts the cycle all over again. Downloads just activates briefly with a brief arc of the "thinking" circle and ends. Her user status on the server dashboard shows the little cloud that suggests Emby connect is enabled. Not sure what to do next...

Adding another piece to the story... If I try to resume a movie, it always starts again from the beginning: yesterday I stopped to play a movie... in the Emby menu it is displayed as continue watching, but restart from the beginning. Edit: I understood that in some cases FF\RW\resume work and looking at the NERD STATS I can say that when the stream is transcoded, then FF\RW\resume work. The problem is that in almost 90% of the cases, it goes with direct playing without trasncoding. So 2 workaround found: 1) set the quality in the app a step lower than the direct playing bitrate... this force the server to trasncode, or 2) there is a setting in the app that correct playback and also this force the trascoding The problem is that both 1) and 2) are settings specific for that playback session. Just changing the movie needs to re apply the settings. Is there any way to force always transcoding in the server?

Isn't it specific to a specfic media item? That is why I suggest context menu for the current item.

Evening, yes I have with medinfo, as I said, both or all are always the same codecs...There are no other media (codecs) than SBS. Can you make a screen of a movie where it shows it and one where it doesn't show it...maybe I'm missing something... Thanks for the answer...

Might have to move this thread to Linux forum. After thinking about assigning 100 of the same images to individual video files I decided to see if a "link" would work. It did. Yay!! So I set a "background" image to the parent folder which showed up as fanart.jpg in this case and them made a linux script to link to that image. All 100 videos now have the same image. My mini script below. It uses parameter expansion. for fln in *mp4;do ln -s ./fanart.jpg "${fln/mp4/}jpg";done This beat the #%$@ out of doing all 100 vids manually. Less than a second for me to run.

we use a combination of AppleTV and Firestick and both indicate "apps are up to date". It seems to not care what device it is playing on same thing happens.
