I have two TV Tuner sources that are both identical. They both have 1 connection and they are both from the same providers but are two separate accounts which gives me a total of 2 maximum connections. I have 1 guide source. "Enable for all tuner devices" is enabled on the guide. Emby does not seem to be utilizing the second TV Source when the first one is in use. When 1 stream is being played, when a second stream is started I get the "m3u simultaneous stream limit has been reached" error. How can I set up Emby to use both TV Sources? Some examples of the error can be found in the log at 2024-05-23 14:59 embyserver(20).txt

Hi there, I upgraded a running version 4.7.4 (or 4.7.1, don't remember exactly) to recent version 4.8.7.0 on DSM 6.2.4. After installation it went in running mode for some seconds. But then it stopped. I tried that some times, all the same. Then I uninstalled the package and reinstalled again. But unfortunately with no success. What's going wrong here? DSM is DS1517+ Prozessor INTEL Atom C2538

I suggest you include @softworkz The chapter image creation uses various ffmpeg methods to quickly locate the image to grab - so depending on the MKV 'timing' this may be getting stuck or in a loop that it cannot recover from. If it works on most files but fails on others, I would start looking into file timing construction/corruption as a first step. My LOTR Return of the King is 140GB with about 70 chapters - no issues with chapter extraction - so I don't believe it's related to file size nor the number of chapters .. ?

I played with the API and saw that the SortOrderIndexes are a bit all over the place - they sometimes jump from for example 100 to 110 - I think it is due to the disabled channels. I am trying to manually move the channels to close these gaps in the SortOrderIndexes.

Sorry about the wait, electron is giving me some headaches. Mpv has been bumped to the latest version, as well as the ffmpeg rpi fork we're using, it comes with improved h264 hardware decoding via v4l2 and drmprime, and this is new, with h265 as well via the v4l2-request api. Leaving hwdec to auto should select the right decoder, and you may experiment with either gpu or gpu-next, both should be working fine. It's also possible to make use of vulkan too now, it's not exposed in theater but you can add `gpu-api=vulkan` in ~/.config/mpv/mpv.conf. Installation instructions are a bit different from the rpi os image, the first boot will let you choose a root password (for ssh), set up networking, and this is important, create a new user. You need to call the user `emby` and not set up any password for autologin to work. By default it will launch an openbox session, but xfce is also available, this can be changed in `/etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/12-autologin.conf`. Note that I might rename this to `99-emby.conf` later though. The image works on both rpi 3 and 4 (and 400) despite the name, it's just how armbian calls this configuration. Rpi 5 images are in the works, but our current electron doesn't run on it, and newer versions are not compatible with our mpv plugin so we're in a bind for now.

Since I need to change DNS for this to work do you have any 'safe' DNS suggestions I could use? AdGuard maybe? And one more question since I have you here (I already posted that in other topic, but it's 3 months old so I might not get any answer). In my logs you can notice 'ImageProcessor' errors. Luke suggested in that other topic that it is due to I also have my network share that require username and password (my Emby server is on Windows and my media are on Synology NAS). I have mapped the drives in Windows Explorer with the password and username and Emby sees it and plays all files with no problem. But when I try to change actor's profile picture by using magnifying glass it goes blank (I have to first delete the picture and then use the magnifying glass for this to work). How can I solve this to get rid of this errors?

I was thinking that if I change one of those ports there, that it will be the same port that Emby will be running inside the container. But I just realized that I can still than expose that port to a different port on the host. Will try that. Thanks!

Just be cautious that by using open DNS servers you are removing the privacy of using NordVPN's DNS servers. Therefore while the traffic will of course be encrypted/tunnelled, the REQUEST for that information is stored/used by Google/CF.. Doesn't really make any difference - If the RP is working on the NAS, then I'd be inclined to leave it alone as that is likely to be the more stable platform anyway (less reboots etc).

The "data" comes from discreet embedded tags. Perhaps you would prefer to use ID3. The "data" comes from some third party source in my case MusicBrainz . Below is the Picard tag map. EMBYARTSTS= AlbumArtist(TPE2) + Artist(TPE1) + Composer(TCOM) The question is still the same can EMBY provide an option to define this grouping , refinements to grouping would greatly improve the playback opportunities and the Emby UI. - vicpa

I did notice that the plugin for one of the animes, anisearch I beleive, pulls the actor data in Japanese even though my default is English. Where are the XML or Json files for plugins located in Linux? Maybe I can change the file to show English? Also Anidb always pulls the German site, how to fix?

Why isn't it going to work? Those values are there specifically for you to tell the server how to advertise its address/port.

That's not going to work because I'm running Emby as a container and I am proxying the default port that is exposed to the host through the web-server. I can't change the port there to 443 because the host is already running a web-server on that port. So in short the answer is no I guess, if you are reverse proxying Emby through your locally installed web-server then it's not possible to automatically have it added into Emby Connect with webserver port that Emby traffic comes through? If I add it manually it does work and I can connect to my Emby server with my local user account, but not with my Emby Connect account to the server, what part am I missing there since I thought it would work with my Emby Connect account if I added and verified my Emby Connect account to my local Emby account?

Its looks like that this option is on Jellyfin. I going to install Jellyfin soon and will using this for my music and wait for this update in Emby. thanks
