Hello, I just updated to 1.0.47 and now, the second the screensaver start (which happen after a minute when noting is running or when on pause), it send me back to the pin code screen and then back to the main menu. Before, it was just putting me back where I was. Is there a way to not have to re-input the pin code just for the screensaver? Thank you

Try and refresh metadata with the replace images option on. Plus give me a log with debugging on. Maybe my fix to commas in the new introduced some kind of bug.

Hi to all, I'm new here, I'm from Italy and sorry for my english! I'm an ex Plex user from today and I suffer a similar problem I've had month ago... With a 2nd gen Apple TV 18.5 and a couple of homepod using the MVP player or the "auto" mode I run in some issue: when I hit pause during playback the image stops but the audio continue for a second. When I resume I've got a second of silence... Tried the native player but the black screen when I hit play doesn't like me! With plex sometime I've solved with a restart or reselect of the homepod but now nothig seem to work... Any suggestion? I switched to Navidrome. I put a lot of effort into tagging my music, Navdirome picks up on metadata changes almost instantly. I use Symfonium as a client and the rest is history. I'm not dissing Emby and still use it for video, and, its worth the money. But like mentioned, the corporate style one line answer to a feature request from 2017 is laughable at this stage. We not asking for nrw construction of pyramids or reinvention of the wheel. I will add one extra postive note to Symfonium, the dev actually listens to the community and has implemented tons of feature requests. Thats something I can truly support going forward.

I just updated to 2.7. and its no longer applying only to the selected libraries, its applying to all of them.

New version up 2.7. Changed: Much improved caching system. Should no longer aggregate episodes when browsing TV show libraries and instead use the cache as intended, improving performance a lot. Changed hashing system to a bit faster one. Fixed: Having comma in library names should no longer crash the plugin. Fix for community rating drawing so it will take smaller amount of memory (Minimum gain but better than nothing). Minor fixes for edge case situations I highly suggest people use this version as the new cache really speeds things up when entering TV show libraries (Movie libraries always worked as intended). Note: There is no persistent cache (cache on disk) for various reasons, so icon overlays will still have to be redrawn on a server restart. Download here or at EmbyIcon Github EmbyIcons.dll

@thekingpin I would be curious what you choose as well? Like you I replaced emby music some time ago. For what it is worth, I am using Navidrome and find it an improvement.

Thank you for your help with the issue regarding S01E01.disc and the real S01E01 file not both showing in the API response. The problem is now resolved! It turns out that when I initially implemented the AlternativeMediaSources field, I had literally copied it with the "i" (Alternative). After changing the field name to the correct spelling: AlternateMediaSources (without the "i"), the API now properly returns both the .disc placeholder and the real .mkv file within the MediaSources array for the S01E01 episode. I did try to play the same file and there's a big improvement on subtitles overall. What I mean is often, subtitles would lag when skipping, now it seems to just go where it should properly. I also saw that I now have subtitles on the parts I identified so it's better. I'll report if I find something else. Thanks!

So the best way to avoid issues, is to add in its own directory and have separate directories for Movies and TV Shows. For a Movie library it will identify everything as its own movie, so you won't have much issues using sub directories in a movie Library. For a TV Show Library its more complicated, using this library will search the folder and identify based on the title. If a title in the directory is interpreted as an episode for having a number in the title the whole directory will display as one show and reflect that in Emby. To best work around is to add all the TV Shows to one Directory of its own, then add that directory to the TV Show Library. If you wanted to add more directories for either you would follow the same format and add them as a separate folder. You can add multiple to a library in Emby, Hopefully all this makes sense. Just wanted to add that I am seeing the same symptoms as @Kcircuitwhere the TV will only display the Ready to Cast logo and play the audio of the live TV stream, but no video. Also I see no information about the current stream showing on the phone Dashboard. In my case, the server is on Windows 10 and the phone is an iPhone. It has been this way for a while, perhaps since the whole Chromecast expired certificates fiasco or shortly after. Chromecast on Plex for live TV has been toast ever since they redesigned their phone app, so I recently switched back to Emby. I have not tried playing any recordings or movies yet, but for debugging I ran: avahi-browse -rt _googlecast._tcp from an Ubuntu box on my network and it returned ve=05 which is Cast v5 (historically Chromecast Audio) according to this site. Perhaps to fix the issue they had to move the cast version forward, but this device is definitely not audio-only. I use ffmpeg to transcode my live TV before it reaches the server, so all the video is as follows: Output #0, mpegts, to 'pipe:1': encoder : Lavf61.1.100 Stream #0:0: Video: h264, yuv420p(tv, bt709, progressive), 1280x720 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], q=2-31, 29.97 fps, 90k tbn encoder : Lavc61.3.100 libx264 Stream #0:1(und): Audio: aac (LC), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 320 kb/s encoder : Lavc61.3.100 aac The H264 codec is set to high profile, level 4.1. Don't know if it makes a difference, but I can tweak any of these values if needed.
