I just thought you might have had some other insights. It seems the recent couple of postings were suggesting that it was certainly not in the Emby catalog, and never was, but was available for download. But you seem to believe it is dead as suggested by others.

Hi, yes I see the issue. Fast forward is using the skip back length, so if you have them set for different values then that will be an issue. We'll get this resolved. Thanks.

Hi, we are still looking into it. Thanks.

Cromecast: better experience on chromecast without Google TV
Luke replied to plessers@gmail.com's topic in Android
Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks! -
I honestly do not recall. I'm pretty sure I used the IP address of the unRAID server with port 8086 for Emby. I set it up well over a year ago and don't remember what I used.

Hi, I guess we'll have to wait for the developer on that, but aren't there recent postings just above saying that subscene is dead anyway?

Trakt not adding new tv episodes but watched state works fine
Luke replied to Victor240's topic in Plugins
Hi, was the file removed from the media directory? The server seems to think so. -

G'day Luke, Is there an updated subscene plugin that would work, as a slightly earlier post suggested there was not. Also the developer had suggested he was working on a new version, but I am not sure I have seen a subsequent posting from him suggesting that a new version was available. Jan

Hi, what exactly happens when you click it?

FWIW: I use Emby for much of every day. Mostly I watch content from Emby at night and I use movies to numb my brain for sleep. It works for me. I have never had Emby exit unexpectedly during playback. Of course the Roku app does exit after a time if it is inactive but that is a Roku enforced action and Emby has no real control over it. If any app is active and idle for a period of time (somewhere between 1 and 4 hours) Roku will cause it to exit. I do NOT like that behavior and I even argued against it when it was first introduced as I was part of the Roku beta process. MY arguments and nearly everyone that was not part of the Roku ecosystem went unheard by Roku. That also was when I found that Roku does not, although they did in the past, listen to their testers so I left the program. (It is amazing how hard they made it to get out of the beta) Now I almost never have an Emby crash (server or Roku) that is not triggered by usually a bad file. I do think Emby, when encountering a bad file, should not crash but it does from time to time. Not all bad files cause crashes but some do and even some (a very few) crash Emby but play in other apps. I think the described problem is file related and not really the fault of Emby. I love my Rokus (mainly the interface) but they do behave a little flaky at times.

Did you set the docker container to use the host network? Not familiar with the options on unraid but saw that's an option on TrueNAS Scale.

Tried on both Windows and Linux and it opens a save file dialogue for me where I can pick where to save the file and what to name it.

How to setup SSL on Emby- no-ip with windows
freshj replied to bandit8623's topic in General/Windows
Thanks Luke, I managed to fumble through and get my head around it. I just created a new pfx using the renewed certificate pem and pointed emby to that. Easy process in the end. -
The issue is likely due to the overlapping paths between the Downloads and the Downloads.ADV library. I would suggest removing the Downloads.ADV library for now.

OK I see you're running an old build of Emby for Samsung. Can you try installing the latest version via USB? https://emby.media/emby-for-samsung-smart-tv.html

OK we'll have to look into what our options are. Thanks.

@jpkeenanjrcan you please try deleting those download jobs and then requesting them again? Please see if that helps. Thanks.

I think a big reason for that is shared device apps automatically loading the last used profile upon opening. If you check 'Remember Me', the app will ALWAYS open to the last used profile; demanding their pin if enabled. You can switch users from here, but that's not very intuitive (particularly with the massive pin entry prompt) and kind of annoying. It's also not obvious that multiple accounts can/will be remembered and can be switched between. The apps used to open to the switch users page by default, where pins used to be able to be used. People want this back; but right now the only way to get it is to not check 'remember me' which means they have no ability to use a pin.

SRT subtitles get out of sync when moving around in video

I haven't been using emby for a while. In addition to the Android clients, I did see the problem in Chrome and Firefox on Ubuntu Linux. -
I can see the Missing Episode/Seasons under the 3-dot menu. What I was interested if it's possible to restore the old view for Missing Episode/Seasons per my screenshot.

strange, emby stops playing overnight, just stops...
icedragonslair replied to icedragonslair's topic in General/Windows
No, but I figured out that the one thing that would not play through was corrupt in the beginning of the file, replaced it and all is well now. Thank you both for helping this old guy...lol Ice -
Why make it more confusing? It should be easier to add help for the edge cases than throw a curve ball to everyone else with unconventional use of common terms. Even in Emby the optional PIN is not a login even if some users want to treat it as such.
