@BillOatman this issue has been reported a lot since 4.8. Guess devs don't see the issue.

Since you did not specify which client, I assume web client. Did you scroll your mouse wheel while holding down ctrl, and there by using the zoom in / out.

One thing I did want to mention to all that was help yesterday.... If I change from MOVIE TAB to FOLDER TAB. It takes around 10-15seconds to load..however the alphapicker is fast..i mean #-Z in 1 second, but thats in FOLDER TAB. If the MOVIE TAB could do the same thing...perfect

Could you convert the ASS subtitles to subrip (SRT)? You would lose some of the formatting and pretty animations, but it would at least work.

I am referring to my experience with my main PC with a 4K monitor. If I playback a HD movie the default window is 1920 x 1080 in size so appears 1/4 size on the 4K screen, i.e. the media player is playing back the movie at native resolution. I can maximize the window but the Windows OS is not upscaling the movie to 4K so the picture is definitely degraded compared to that displayed in the native window size of 1920 x 1080. My understanding is that Emby Theatre does not upscale so if a HD video is displayed at 4K resolution on the HTPC it is going to be softer than at native HD resolution. The TV will not upscale the signal from the HTPC as the graphics card will be outputting at 4K so the TV will think it is 4K. I am also interested to know if the LG app will pass the HD signal to the TV so the TV will then upscale to 4K and that it will also pass the full sound track Dolby Atmos etc over eARC.

I've gotten around this for Various Artists at least, by changing the album artist in classical VA albums to "Various Classical." This keeps the non-classical VA albums out of my classical library. It's not ideal, and it's still an issue for specific artists that appear in both libraries, but that's relatively rare and not as much a problem as "Various Artists."

Yeah but that's the only way i can get subtitles working. Luckily it's just the subtitles only getting CPU transcoded. That's why I said plex also transcodes the subtitles also.

If you want to test further you can check with VLC to see what your hdhomerun is giving you. Just enter http://youtunerip/lineup.m3u in VLC or http://192.168.1.18/lineup.m3u in your case. VLC is available in multiple platform. You will be able to tune each channel and see in what format you receive them. I am using multiple HDhomerun extend and I get full HD on all channels that broadcast in HD. hope this help.

Hi, for the past few days the size of the subtitles was normal, I tried shifting from normal to larger yesterday or the day before in the server options, but nothing happened, all of a sudden today all the subtitles became extremely large and when I try to change the size to a smaller one nothing happens and it remains large. I would really appreciate a solution. Thank you!

I'm not clear on what you mean that a 1080p video would appear as 1/4 of the screen in Theater. The video will take up the entire screen (respective of the video dimensions, IE my monitor is 3440x1440 ultrawide and if I play a 1920x1080 video I have black bars on the left and right but is otherwise the whole screen). But yes you can also use the LG app instead if you want, though do note that it has some limitations around picture based subtitles that will force transcoding. Audio passthrough should work fine.

Agreed, it appears to be related to tags used to block certain titles. More specifically the routines determining which versions to block when media that has more than 2 versions. Also, perhaps a gap in evaluating the active status of a given tag.

I note since recently that on the Person Page, the media that the peron is also in has now been combined. Is there a way to have it as seperate Movies and Shows again. off subtitle extraction corrects it but doing that transcodes a lot every time you need to see the subtitles

Once I thought it was looping, I sat and watched it about 4-5 times. I took note of the photo that it ended on before going back to the beginning photo. Counted them. Which is fairly easy since they are a grid. It was always the 150th photo.

Thanks but it wasn't a playback issue per se. I was just asking if there was a way server side to disconnect a client and/or if there was a way to limit connection time of a client.
