yes certainly. It's just important to understand the difference between the Emby Connect login and your private server login. They are two different things, and attempting to use the credentials for one on the login screen of the other will result in an error. It sounded like you were trying to use your private server credentials on the Emby Connect login screen.

What if you click add server, what happens then?

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
-
OK that's odd that the device considers them as part of the same album.
-
Yes an option is possible but if you're always appearing local now then it's never going to switch anyway, and therefore shouldn't happen.

I have an album on my phone which is in folder DCIM/camera. And another folder "House". Now if i back up these 2 folders via emby, images if both folder will end up in one folder on emby server. It would be nice if images were in separate folders like they originally were on the device from which it backs up

my95z34 started following Emby app crashing when playing certain videos
-
So, I've got a weird one. Certain videos are crashing Emby clients. A little back story. I use Playback Reporting plugin to track server usage. I also use certain shows to fall asleep to. So, I created an "Untracked" user that Playback Reporting doesn't track, that I use to sleep. That way videos that are playing while I'm asleep don't count towards server usage. For quite some time, that user will crash when playing certain episodes of South Park on my server. Oddly enough, it'll crash at a specific point, mid episode. Where it gets weird, other users on that same device will not crash on that episode, and can play it all of the way through. I've started to get reports from other users I have on my server that different shows or movies will crash their clients too. But theirs generally happen at the start of the video. I have server logs if you'd like them, but they don't seem to show much. I don't even know where to start with this problem. Any input would be greatly appreciated. //edit// Clients are Android TV and Roku. Server runs in docker on Unraid.
-
That works but isn't Connect to supposed to free me from remembering what my ISP assigned IP address is?
-
OK - why is this happeningl? The server is literally running - I'm watching a show and connected to it via Windows Remote Desktop
-
OK you said you checked the information on your server, but that’s the Emby connect sign in screen, not your local server sign in. Try clicking skip and then correcting to your server and see if that helps.

Hi there, what does the title of the login screen say?

Hi there, can you please provide an example?

I've seen older posts but never a solution. I've triple checked the User information on my server and password. Deleted and recreated accounts multiple times. Confirmed the account has my email associated with it. I always end up with "Invalid username or password"

4K HEVC and HDR Colours look incorrect
RanmaCanada replied to bighops15's topic in Apple iOS / macOS
The obvious answer that people seem to refuse to acknowledge is that you should be using Infuse if you dare to use Emby on an Apple product. It is pretty obvious that Apple products are an enigma for the dev team, which I don't blame them for as the environment is not exactly the most friendly to work with. They have been fighting with crApple devices since the beginning, and are probably just as frustrated if not more so, then the users are. -
It would be exactly the same in Edge as it's built on Chrome (tested and it was indeed please don't tell me you want pictures). They should play without problems on Samsung and LG TV's. If the TV's do not support the .ass format, then Emby should take care of that, which is why your logs are so important. If you know what models of TV's you have, include them, and I'll attempt check their manuals for media playback support. It would also be helpful to know how powerful your server is, what are its specs (you can never give too much information in regards to this)? Are you doing hardware transcoding, or software? When the subs failed to play was it direct playing, which would go back to the TV models? Oh and as for "no problems with Plex" by default Plex burns in .ass subtitles even if the device supports it (exactly what Emby is doing to resolve your problem) and that causes a lot of problems on its own. So your TV models will be required at least for me to go a bit deeper on this for you.

@Darkheir can you please try installing Emby server 4.8.6 and let us know if that helps? Thanks !

Error Message: "Unable to Start Emby Server on Ubuntu 20.04"

@benjonson has this helped? -
Do you have nfo files next to your movies? If yes then the collection information is there, so if another application updates it and removes them, then yes that could happen.

"Support extras for seasons and episodes" - how does this work?
Luke replied to rexerm's topic in General/Windows
Both methods should work for episodes. The folder method requires the episode to be in its own subfolder. -
Hi, when you play from the live TV section, it will just play the channel from the live position. Eden you play from the library, it will play from the beginning. We need to improve this so that both options are available no matter how you start playing.
