Also as a reminder, when the user toggles shuffle state in the player, make sure to immediately to a progress report to Emby Server to make it aware. In the progress report, use the EventName of shufflechange. This will allow remote controlling apps to immediately reflect the change.

This is coming in 4.9 and will be backported to 4.8. This is implemented identically as Repeat Mode, so I'm going to copy, paste and edit the notes from that: I've added some new GeneralCommands that you can add support for in your apps: SetShuffle that takes a param of Shuffle, which can be true false Recall that all commands are assumed unsupported unless you indicate. So all media playing apps can add these features, and those who accept remote control commands can also allow them to be controlled. In addition, playback start and progress check-ins now have a property: Shuffle - true or false The remote control API to play is backwards compatible, meaning, if your app doesn't support the new SetShuffle command, the server will pre-shuffle the items for you. If you do support SetShuffle, then your play command through the api will also need to listen for PlayShuffle.

@Luke I used TV mode with an old WMC IR remote. Both android and desktop mode don't work well with remotes. I am not sitting in front of my Projection screen with mouse & keyboard. So neither of those modes are an option. As long as there is forced horizontal scrolling in TV mode with no option for vertical scrolling than I have no intention on reinstalling.

The check state for that one doesn't matter. It should probably just be hidden from the screen.

So if the option is unchecked user has no access to user playlists? But since the option is technically disabled from change what should a user do is the option is unchecked?

Although I run Windows 10 (my computer is not good enough for 11) I believe that Windows disk manager even under 11 allows reassignment of drive letters. I had a need shortly after Win 10 was released to reassign a drive to another letter and I think I used disk manager to do that. I do remember that my first attempt errored out because the letter i needed to use was already in use. I temporarily assigned the drive to a dummy letter and then reassigned the drive that I needed to free up to another letter and then reassigned the needed letter to the correct drive. That is at that time disk manager did not give any error message or offer alternatives if there was a conflict it just failed. But once I assured that I was not duplicating assignments everything worked fine and I ended up with a properly operating computer with the drives mapped correctly. I do not know if this helps you but it is a way to fix drive mapping issues. I should note that a quick search turned up disk manager as discontinued software but Win 11 should have a utility to do the same thing. I hope this at least gives ideas that may result in a fix.

This problem has not disappeared.

The regular version would not allow me to fast forward while a show was recording. The scrubber moved ahead as you pressed FF but when you released it, it didn't advance and jus played from where it was. After the show stopped recording, I was able to FF through it. In contrast, the Android TV version will allow me to FF while recording. I watched that for a bit after FF and it froze up and wasn't watchable at that point.

You can open the library.db with a DB browser and look at some of the items in the MediaItems table to see their path and figure it out from there. This query might work.
