Emby now available on Soundiiz

We're pleased to announce integration with Soundiiz !

How it Works

Once you have connected your Emby server to Soundiiz (be sure to have enabled external connection), it will be able to retrieve your audio playlists and also search in your library.

So that means you will be able to export your playlists from Emby to match them with Spotify, Apple Music (and many more, Soundiiz supports almost 40 music services) catalogs, having your playlists everywhere. Soundiiz also allows you to import playlists into Emby. We will match as much as possible your source data with tracks you have in your Emby audio library.

Soundiiz also supports favorite Artists, Tracks and Albums !

Head on over to Soundiiz at https://soundiiz.com to try it out, and as always, please make sure to leave your feedback so that we can continue to improve your experience.

It's not something we can fix on our end.  They need to update their code/web forms to authenticate and properly access things.
I had a chat with them on this a while ago and even showed them how they could look at our Emby Connect web forms in debug mode for guidance.
I also showed them how they could do this without needing to use Emby Connect as well by going directly to the server they use which would make it fool proof as not all users have Emby Connect.

When I looked the other day it appeared they hadn't touched it.

Just last month we had a little back and forth with a Soundiiz developer and they tested and confirmed it was working just fine for them.

I don’t know if any other Soundiiz users can try? Just to help shed light on it being potentially my issue with credentials etc. I did actually change my Emby Connect password and try again, but same problem.

Okay, thanks for this.

I gave them a link to the Developer API section of the site where they could get any code or Emby specific questions answered as well as my contact info.

We're certainly available to give them a little help or guidance if needed.

Bottom two fields don't match the code or are redundant.
 <input type="text" placeholder="X.X.X.X:XXXX" name="ipport">
 <input type="text" placeholder="SERVERNAME" name="servername">

The page throws errors before entering anything.

Form does a post to <form class="form" method="POST" action="/connectAuth/emby">

I believe they told me the original intent was just the two top entries which would use EmbyConnect but then tried to add direct server access.

Even if it worked it would be quite confusing that way.

GLORY BE, IT WORKED!

I set up Emby Connect earlier today and left it alone and came back to it. and it worked. I also found that I logged in a slightly different screen and it worked. So I somehow ended up on this screen and logged in through there. But it worked!

Nice.

Any chance you know how to reproduce your results?
If we find one specific way that works, maybe we could get them to modify the UI for the login to make it clearer until they can add other logins.

It.doesn't.work.

Experiences such as mentioned above and previously of my own experience seem to indicate it works randomly the odd time, but usually not - and the steps required to make it work are unclear. And unreproducible.

Why are you still partnering with Soundiiz? It's misleading to tell prople the integration with Emby works. and the guy at Soundiiz is no help, really.

I don't know if I'd call it a partnering.  According to their website they've "partnered" with everyone they have a login for. :)
