Emby keeps going off since last week

Hi,

as title says, for a week, or a tad longer, Emby server keeps turning off without prior notice or apparent reason.

Since this morning, it is definitely getting worse. It is now happening 2-3 times per hour. On the server, if I hover the mouse over the Emby icon in syst tray, the icon disappears. I then need to double click Emby desktop icon, which restarts it

I am running v 3.2.36.0, reporting itself as up to date.

 

EDIT:

looking at other post with similar issues, I noticed its often recommended to perform a manual update to 3.2.40, I did just that but it grabbed v 3.2.50.0

We'll see how it goes from here...fingers crossed

Indeed it hasn't shutdown unexpectedly since performing manual update, which is great news .

 

I have 2 questions:

1) What went wrong with v 3.2.36.0?

2) Why a manual update?
