PeteGul 54 Posted Thursday at 04:52 PM Posted Thursday at 04:52 PM Changing to date added, in the Popular Movies/series, worked better. Thanks Quote Or use the Discover page (the "Discover" menu entry) instead of the channel tile. There it's in popularity order with a status badge instead of a title prefix, so owned titles stay in place and new ones are right up front. That's the intended experience. This one I don't understand what you think of. If I push the only "Discover" I have, I'm ending up in the "channels list" (Move Genres, Popular Movies etc.) Quote "Not in your library" row: that section only appears on movie, series, and actor/director detail pages, not on the channel list itself. If it's missing on one of those detail pages, let me know which page so I can check — otherwise it sounds like everything's working as intended. I don't have anything there, sorry. Not web or app clients. Please tell if you need more info I really aprciate your help!Â

PeteGul 54 Posted Thursday at 06:47 PM Posted Thursday at 06:47 PM Here is a clearer explanation, I hope :-) Sorting by "Date added" improved "Popular Movies/Series", so everything I've added myself no longer stays at the top. You mentioned the "Discover Page", but the only "Discover" option I have is the menu under "My Media", and I can't find anything else. When I click on it under "My Media", it takes me straight to the channel list (Genres, Popular Movies, etc.). You mentioned "I can also change the channel so the status marker no longer affects the title sort, if that's preferred". I think that sounds like a good solution! When I'm on an actor's detail page, nothing appears at the bottom. It doesn't show any movie recommendations/credits for the actor.

PeteGul 54 Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM (edited) "Not in your library" is now working when I'm on the actor details page. In web player. Edit: But not in app Android/Android TV. Sorry I still can't find the "Discover Page" menu you mentioned. But we might be misunderstanding each other about what you mean. :-) The status marker is still the same, but then again, you might not have looked at this yet. Sorting by date, works Thanks for a awsome work! Edited. Edited Thursday at 08:49 PM by PeteGul 1

muiz 41 Posted Friday at 03:37 PM Author Posted Friday at 03:37 PM (edited) Few releases further, im sorry i did not posted them here right away. 1.3.4.2  ## Highlights - **Nicer Discover page:** every poster now shows its title, year and TMDB rating. - **Better on TVs:** clear focus highlight, works with LG, Android TV and Fire TV remotes. - **New option:** let the Discover Media tile open the Discover page directly. ## Works with every Emby app | | Browser | Official Emby apps (TV, mobile) | |---|:---:|:---:| | Discover Media channel (browse, Request, Trailer) | | | | Request movies and series (Radarr / Sonarr) | | | | Discover page with search | | — | | Request button and extra rows on detail pages | | — | The official Emby apps have their own built-in client that plugins cannot change. In those apps you use Discover through the **Discover Media channel**. ## New - Poster captions on the Discover page: title, year and TMDB rating. - Clear focus on TVs: the selected poster grows and gets an amber outline. - Loading placeholders instead of "Loading...". - **Optional, off by default:** the Discover Media tile opens the Discover page directly (browser only). Turn it on under *Plugin settings*. ## Fixed - Discover page did not show posters on LG webOS TVs. - Android TV / Fire TV remote did not work on the Discover page; the popup now fits on a TV screen. - On TVs the remote could stop working in Emby's own Settings after visiting Discover. - Trailers could hang in apps that load the web client from the server. 1.3.4.3-fix ## Highlights - **Nicer Discover page:** every poster now shows its title, year and TMDB rating. Titles whose original language is in this list (e.g. `ja, ko, hi`) are hidden from the Discover rows and channel folders; search still shows them. Changes apply immediately, no cache wait. - New: **Norwegian** (Norsk) as a selectable plugin language; anything not yet translated falls back to English. - New: **regional TMDB languages** (en-GB, pt-BR, es-MX, zh-TW, ...) in the TMDB language list. - New: the actor page's **Filmography** entries are now requestable via the Discover popup. - Fix: on TVs the popup cut the description off after four lines. It is now scrollable: with the focus on Request/Trailer, press **down** to read further and **up** to go back. A soft fade shows there is more text; the buttons always stay on screen. - Fix: on TVs Emby's page title ("Discover Media") overlapped the Discover search bar. - Fix: poster links in the extra rows pointed at an old Discover page name. - Fix: on TVs you can now scroll the **More like this** / actor rows with the remote; posters render on webOS. muiz 41 Posted Friday at 05:11 PM Author Posted Friday at 05:11 PM (edited) 1.3.4.5 Fix: the status marker (checkmark / hourglass) is now placed after the title instead of before it, so it no longer affects title sorting in the channel lists. Channel DataVersion bumped so Emby refreshes cached names. Change: Tile opens the Discover page is now on by default, and enabled once for existing installs (you can still turn it off in the settings; it is then not re-enabled). The Discover Media entry under My Media now opens the Discover page in the web client, and the extra rows load on every detail page. Change: the switch takes effect immediately, no server restart needed. The web loader stays injected and reads the setting at runtime from GET /emby/Discover/LoaderConfig (needs the logged-in web client's token; check it in the browser console, filter "Discover web", or run __discoverDebug()). If the setting cannot be read, there is no redirect. New: a Channel tiles button on the Discover page opens the channel folders (Genres, Popular Movies, ...) even when the tile redirect is on; Back from inside the channel no longer bounces to Discover. Fix: on actor/person pages the "Not in your library" row also appears when Emby's page layout has no standard container. Web client only: the official Emby apps cannot run plugin scripts and cannot show this row. After updating, restart Emby once and hard-refresh the browser (Ctrl+F5). SoliFlix 42 Posted Saturday at 02:28 PM Posted Saturday at 02:28 PM Hi muiz I installed the plugin on my test server and ran the "Refresh Internet Channels" task once. The task itself took 62 minutes. After it finished, the plugin kept working through the list of entries and created a ton of discover cards. That took almost 4 more hours. The whole time, I didn't touch the server and didn't open or browse the plugin. The result: - programdata/data/discover-cards: 23,860 MP4 files (22.3 GB) - programdata/data/discover-tiles: 13,248 images (1.3 GB) Would it be possible to create these files only when a title is actually opened or requested, instead of for every entry? Also, are these files cleaned up at some point, or will the folder keep growing? With the Trending and Upcoming lists changing all the time, I'm worried it will get quite large over time. Thanks for the plugin and your work on it

muiz 41 Posted Saturday at 04:55 PM Author Posted Saturday at 04:55 PM (edited) Version 1.3.4.6 Add: season buttons in the Discover popup for series. Next to Request there is now an All seasons button and one button per season (Season 1, Season 2, ...). A season button requests only that season; All seasons requests the whole series, including seasons released later. For series the single Request button is hidden while the season buttons are shown; if the seasons cannot be loaded, the normal Request button stays. Change: a series that is already in your Emby library no longer jumps straight to its Emby page. The Discover popup opens first, so missing seasons can still be requested, and an Open in Emby button takes you to the series. Movies still open directly in Emby. Add: seasons that are already in your Emby library (at least one episode) show a checkmark in the popup and cannot be clicked again. All seasons stays clickable. Change: Delete and Cancel request are now available to administrators and to users who have Emby's Allow media deletion permission (before: administrators only). /Discover/RemoveItem checks this on the server too, so a user without the permission gets "You are not allowed to delete." even when calling the endpoint directly. Fix: the green checkmarks on the Season N and All seasons request tiles are hidden. They were Emby's own "played" marker (set when you press Play to request) and did not mean the season is in your library. The checkmark in the tile label ("Season 1 ✓") is the real availability indicator. After updating, rebuild the plugin, restart Emby once and hard-refresh the browser (Ctrl+F5).
