Yes but I believe EBR expalined that in regards to the HLS stream, it is/was still not possible with AV1. HEVC is a totally different codec. Using it as a reason to beleive that AV1 will work is like asking "why can't I put petrol in my Tesla? It's a car, and all cars run on petrol" The fact Plex is also having a serious problem, with the amount of resources they have, should tell you that it's not a problem with the software, but with the video codec itself. Again I would just process my files before adding them to my server. Many of us already go through the process of cutting out redundant audio and sub tracks, or even re-encoding things to save space prior to adding them to our servers.

I also have an issue with my firestick Lite which I dont have on any others. If I login with connect, it takes me to the other options screen. If I select change server I see the server but which I select it it goes back to the other options. If I log in manually from there it works but when I come back in I have to log in manually again. Is this an issue with the LITE version?

I have it set to only play local trailers. So the quality isn't the issue for me. What ever algorithm is being used isn't working, or if it is.......................... it's just plain terrible. There is no randomness to it as far as I can see. I can't play the same movie time and time again (I've tested this) and it will play the same 5 trailers every time. What is the point of that? I am pretty close to disabling it. Such a shame too. I have spent hours and hours tracking down trailers to save them to my library. Such a sad waste of time.

I see this in the release notes, but I can't find the option anywhere. Is it automatically enabled? I'm hoping that this means I won't get 100 emails when someone plays a music playlist.

Will be backported yes. As you are on stable version you need to wait a couple of weeks for such minor fixes. Actually it's quite an edge case therefore not urgent. Rollout follows 1. public testing 2. beta 3. stable ...unless it's a showstopper.

I don't recall this in the beta, but I'm glad to see some progress regarding this feature. One problem though. The grouping is putting Movies and Shows in the same grouping. Movies and Shows are 2 separate media types. Can you please separate Movies and Shows into separate groups?

Yeah the novelty wore off for me.. The quality is iffy and the selection/algorithm is crap at the mo. I gave up and disabled it, still got the plugin installed just in case things change.

I wasn't sure if the update was going to install or not... The update did not show on my screen at first, I had a pending restart update for MovieDb Updated to 1.7.5 on DESKTOP 4/18/2024, 11:59:59 AM After restarting, it did not change my version number... But still said update in the Alerts.. Then an update button I have never seen before popped up, so I click that.. then it said restart Emby shortly after... Witch I did about 4 or 5 times in an stuck update loop of some sort.. then I got smart, I shut down Emby instead of restarting it... Rebooted the computer... Emby is set for auto start,, when it rebooted it then said it is now Version 4.8.4.0 Thank god. I will be back

Can this fix be back-ported in to the v9 plugin? Or is v9 "end of maintenance" yet? I've had the same issue for a while and I've been meaning to report it. Now running on v9.4.19 with the issue: if there are two files/versions of a particular TV episode, if one file is deleted then Kodi looses the whole episode. Requires a Repair of the relevant TV library in the plugin to get the episode back in Kodi. Thanks!

Bump this again to see if we can finally get some traction on this. I for one would love to have some more variety to the selection of trailers shown before movies. For example if I am watching a Star Wars film. I don't need to see 5 trailers for other Star Wars movies. Why on earth would I want that? I think we should be seeing a mix of the genes types we have in our media libraries. I've gotten to the point on this that I might just turn trailers off. I end up skipping most of them anyway.

En el registro se ve como cancelo el escaneo tras 1158 minutos, más de 19 horas para escanear las librerías y encontrar elementos nuevos. Son muchas horas para el escaneo, porque tarda tantas horas? antes no tardaba tantas horas, no os parecen muchas horas?. Adjunto capturas de las librerías que tengo, de las opciones avanzadas de librerías y unas imágenes numeradas de la lista de opciones de una librería de películas, espero que sirvan. En cuanto pueda haré otro escaneo de las bibliotecas y tomaré de nuevo los registros a ver si vemos algo en ellos.

Slow Horses, How did I miss this... Prob because I don't sub to Apple TV.. What a gem of a TV show. I'm originally from the UK and this show tick's all the boxes for me. Remember CI5 (The Professionals) lol.. (Bodie & Doyle). This show has a layer of dark comedy (which I love).

I've had simular issues, but after updating this morning to EMBY v4.8.4.0, with 'fix duplicate live tv views', it seems to have solved my problems. For some months already, in my live-TV EPG, several TV channels had double entries, chosing a certian channel or program, gave me the impression that there were 2 entries, and I thus maybe didn't always choose the correct one and thus the recording failed: maybe Luke or somebody else can eleborate more details about this issue ? I checked and the plugin is compatible. However there is a strm file issue which seems to cause issues in latest Kodi versions. I'll fix it. fyi Top Picks has issues with reporting progress info via API. The progress is not consistent between referenced movies.

@feerlessleadrFor the moment, the EPG is rebuilt from scratch each time an EPG upload is initiated. I did this to simplify debugging. Luke programmed the TV platform to support both complete rebuilds and adding new channel data to the end of the current EPG. I will enable this feature soon. Vic

Revisiting VirtualTV after some time away. Using the latest Dev build on a M1 Mac. Even though I have all the appropriate items checked in the playback progress section my Continues Watching is littered with half watched shows if I do any sort of channel surfing during a viewing session. Anything I can provide to help pinpoint the issue just let me know. Also note that for some reason, when ever this happens (after I clean up all the Continue Watching shows) I will usually get 3 movies (always the same ones) in that list even though I dont use VirtualTV for movies. These movies are fully watched and have been for years but somehow are getting marked partially watched at this time so the above may be part of a larger watch state issue?

Thanks, I've already been there. But I've now installed it as Docker Compose and it's running. @jdazzle44Is it somehow possible that you can choose whether the plot is sent along or not and that, for example, "New Movie Added" is also displayed in a different language? Probably not, right?
