Android auto sounds muffled

When listening to music in Emby through android auto, there are occasional instances where the music comes out very muffled/garbled. It almost sounds like I'm listening to music underwater or something. Does anyone know what is causing this issue?

Update: I disconnected my phone from Android Auto so that music would only play through Bluetooth. Songs that had previously been garbled/muffled were playing fine.

Just to clarify, the issue isn't corrected. Basically, when I'm using Emby through Android Auto, the songs often come out muffled. The fact that I can play them properly when I'm not connected to Android Auto seems to indicate that Android Auto is causing the issue.
