For the domain i purchased, I was having to manually add my public IP in a static manner for the DNS record. i'm just reading about duckdns and it appears there's a compose file for it. Perhaps that's an option? If I read this right, I'd plug in duckdns in place of the WAN IP? Heck dns-o-matic as that can be a man in the middle if you can’t get a tool. I use cloudflare and there are many dynamic ip update containers around for that.

I was going down that path and saw they were blocking Emby video streams.
vaise 324 Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 Yep, have been for so many years now. no idea why I never been blocked like others. 1
medicmandan 1 Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 This has been working fine for me for months until I just switched to Google Fiber. I confirmed DuckDNS updated with my new ISP. I forwarded ports 80 and 443. I went back through the full setup guide and can't figure out what else needs to be changed. Error message: Rejected request from RFC1918 IP to public server address
