Richard Branches 215
If you are not getting DTS passed through directly to your AVR make sure you have set the following: 1) The CC must be set to AUTO in the audio settings 2) Emby app must also be set to AUTO in the audio setting 3) Make sure the DTS option is turned ON in Emby audio settings If you're getting DTS transcoded to Dolby Digital, that means Emby app doesn't detect a DTS support on the CC, therefore, if you don't want Dolby Digital then uncheck the DTS option and you'll get multichannel PCM. For some reason the Emby app doesn't detect the DTS support on most Android TV devices but DTS passthrough works with other apps such as VLC, Nova Video Player, MX Player, etc. Edited July 14, 2021 by Richard Branches
filski 1
@Richard Branches Stoked to have come across your reply here! I was getting lots of audio transcoding, AAC 5.1, DTS 5.1 etc, with a Chromecast with Google TV and Onkyo 696 receiver. Now direct playing, thank you.
