horstepipe 356
Denon AVR-X2400H with a 5.1 setup. So the Box should handle multichannel output?
Carlo 4330
Yes I would think so.

horstepipe 356
the usual "modern" way via hdmi (tv -> avr -> Mi Box) No issues on my apple tv 4k. But I read in some other thread that the emby theater version I was running could have caused the issue. I'll test again more intensive today, thanks. horstepipe 356
okay, can't tell what the problem was in my previous testings, but now everything is fine and works as expected. DD and DTS are being passed through, DTS-HD MA is being passed through as DTS (core), but I didn't expect HD audio formats to be passed through on such a cheap box. So with working frame rate matching and a quite good remote, this box seems to be the best bang for the buck Android TV device to me. Can anybody give a (menu smoothness) comparison to the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K? Thanks and best regards
ebr 14920
You just need to be sure that your AVR is on before you wake up/turn on the Mi. Otherwise, it will get limited audio capabilities reported to it via the HDMI connection.
