XML vs XBMC

There is now a choice between two different meta-data formats--is there an advantage to switching from XML to XBMC?

The two choices actually existed before.

 

Anyway, if you plan on using XBMC3 or you share your library between MB3 and XBMC/Plex then you should select XBMC. Otherwise it won't really make a difference.

 

The XML is the format that MB2/3 has always used. XBMC uses .nfo files and a different structure to store it's info.

I guess unless XBMC was recognized by Play On there isn't any reason for me to switch.  Thanks for the info.  I thought maybe XBMC had fancier options or something like that.
