rechigo 294 Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 (edited) I feel the following filter & sort options are lacking the following: * filter by HDR * sort by video bitrate * sort by audio bitrate * sort by filesize * filter by subtitle language * filter by audio channels * filter by audio language Anybody have anything they would like to add to this list? fyutins 4 Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Don't know if I should have created a new topic but here are some filter that would be interesting : * filter by movie runtime * filter by audio language * filter by audio channels (5.1, 7.1, ...) and maybe by technologies ? (Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital, ...) * filter by file size ? Don't know if it's possible, but also add a filter that only shows medias that don't need any transcoding for the current device. 1 1
CyberPoison 33 Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 yeah it should be allready done now but i don't know what the devs are improving on emby, the emby filter need more filters the devs just need to take a look on plex filters (have more Gender(Biography etc..) , have subtitle language filter, have audio language filter, actor filter ,etc...) this need to be improved in all platforms like android, ios,lg,tizen, web etc...
rechigo 294 Posted May 22, 2020 Author Posted May 22, 2020 I updated the OP to include some more filters/sorts that were mentioned above since they are also lacking 1
fyutins 4 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 Another one : * filter by the original language version
ebr 15371 Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 Mentioned elsewhere - Filter by Decade IMO that is much more useful as a view/grouping than a filter. 1 1
mismis 1 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 How about filter/sort by orientation? I'm missing this much.

dcpete 8 Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Yes, I would love to be able to sort by object based audio codecs for movies, like Atmos and DTS-X. I currently maintain my own custom list, but it is a pain to maintain.
Swanky_k 0 Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 I know filter by tag is there, but it only allows 1 tag, how about being able to filter by multiple tags?

So when you start adding tags, the 'Tags' heading will appear along side the 'Movies Suggestions Trailers Genres Favourites Folders' at the top When tags is clicked it'll show all of your tags, and when you click on a certain tag it'll show all movies with those tags From here I don't see a way to click more tags to filter further
GrimReaper 3746 Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 (edited) What you're describing is library Tags view, not Filter; go to your Library default screen, click "Filter" button and there you can select multiple tags in Tag field dropdown. Edited July 29, 2021 by GrimReaper76 1

AHH! Very good then!! Thanks for helping me find this! Edit: Although, its not working quite as I would expect, when multiple tags are selected it displays all items with those tags, not the items with just those tags eg, Movie 1 is tagged with just 'A' , Movie 2 is tagged with 'B', Movie 3 is tagged with 'A' & 'B' If I select A & B from the Filter dialogue list, all 3 movies show, where I would only expect Movie 3 to show Is there a way to cross reference search like this via tags? nbedendo 4 Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 (edited) YES! For example the VIDEO RESOLUTION i think that will be SUPER USEFUL where i can be able to see only 4K or 1080p etc... with multi flag Edited October 16, 2021 by nbedendo

Nope, there ain't. I did ask for an AND/OR filter switch on Genres and Tags property a while back, hopefully it'll get implemented eventually, one way or another.

mismis 1 Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 1) you have a folder mixed with landscape and portrait oriented videos - having a filter option to select given orientation would be awesome 2) you have a folder with lots of videos most of them are short but you wanna see only the long ones - I know I can have them sorted by runtime, but would be better to filter greater/less than x seconds 1
