crusher11 977 Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 I believe "Original Title" is used for searching, so you could enter the information there. It's not displayed anywhere I'm aware of, so it won't look "wrong" or anything. I have Lucky Number Sleven, which was released here as The Wrong Man, and Airplane!, released here as Flying High! I have their Australian titles as the Title, and their US titles as the Original Title, and they show up when I search for either.
levander 96 Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 @@Happy2Play Example: I use sort titles to display these movies together and in the correct order: - Raiders of the Lost Ark - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Without sort title the first movie displays under "R" and the other under "I". But I want them to be display together. Other example: Title / original Title: Transformers Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Transformers: Dark of the Moon Transformers: Age of Extinction Transformers: The Last Knight Bumblebee Sort titles: Transformers 1 Transformers 2 Transformers 3 Transformers 4 Transformers 5 Transformers 6 So they are in the correct order and all together. Just put ‘Bumblebee AKA Transformers 6’ in original title field and it will show up in search. That’s what I do with the alternative titles present. Sort title doesn’t have to do anything with the search results.
acnp77 62 Posted March 8, 2020 Author Posted March 8, 2020 (edited) Thanks for the inputs. But I like to use the original title field for the actual original title as intended. To use the sort title in search results was just a feature request. Cheers Edited March 8, 2020 by acnp77
crusher11 977 Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 It achieves what you want without changing anything else.
hisune 3 Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 I also hope to have this feature, it can help me solve the problem of pinyin search in Chinese.
