TheeDoc 0 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 (edited) Hi All, Emby Version 4.3.1.0 Using Firefox & Chrome As I mentioned, I'm a newbie to this so apologies in advance for lack of knowledge etc. Here's my playlist... hxxp://mbm.watch:8085/get.php?username=xxxxxxxxxx@@Xxxxx.com&password=xxxxxx&type=m3u_plus The screenshots below shows what I did. As is obvious, I have no clue what I'm doing. When I click the save button I get an error message saying, "There was an error saving the TV provider, please ensure it is accessible and try again." If I hit the search button in the screenshot above I get the screenshot below. I have no idea what to do with that part or if I need to be using that part? Playlist does not play in Emby. If anyone can tell me how to complete the process of putting my m3u_plus playlist into Emby successfully I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any assistance offered. Cheers, Hugh. kanipek 229 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Not sure what you are asking here. That last screenshot looks like you are adding a library.... More info please
TheeDoc 0 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 Hi Kanipec, I'm trying to add the m3u_plus playlist to emby live tv but it doesn't work. I was just showing the steps I took. Thanks, Hugh.
samuelqwe 316 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 (edited) You don’t need to click on the magnifying glass icon after you’ve pasted your URL. That button is for selecting a local m3u playlist, but since you are using a URL, it’s not necessary. After you pasted your URL, simply set the number of maximum simultaneous streams your subscription allows and the rest can be left as default. Edited February 21, 2020 by samuelqwe
TheeDoc 0 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 Hi samuelqwe I did as you suggested but still got the error message saying, "There was an error saving the TV provider, please ensure it is accessible and try again." Thanks for your help, Hugh.
samuelqwe 316 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 I would verify that the URL is indeed correct and wait for the guide refresh to finish. If the issue persists after that, I would wait for an Emby admin to assist you as it could be an issue with Emby.
TheeDoc 0 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 Hi samuelqwe, I've used the m3u_plus playlist in different apps etc and it worked fine. I thought maybe Emby used different type of lists other than those ending in m3u_plus. Many thanks for your help. Hugh
Luke 40063 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 When I click the save button I get an error message saying, "There was an error saving the TV provider, please ensure it is accessible and try again." If I hit the search button in the screenshot above I get the screenshot below. I have no idea what to do with that part or if I need to be using that part? Playlist does not play in Emby. This means Emby Server is unable to access that remote url. This could be due to the domain not being reachable, or they could also be rejecting the request. The server log might help tell us a little bit more.
TheeDoc 0 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 Hi Luke, I have attached the log. Thanks for your help, Hugh.
Luke 40063 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Hi there, did you forget to attach the log?
TheeDoc 0 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 Hi Luke, I attached it but it didn't seem to save...Trying again. Thanks, Hugh. embyserver.txt
Luke 40063 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 did you configure a custom user agent or referrer http header? 1
Solution Luke 40063 Posted February 24, 2020 Solution Posted February 24, 2020 OK I think i know what the issue is and it's resolved for the next release. Workaround in the meantime is to specify a custom friendly name for your emby server that doesn't have any accent characters or diacritics. 1
TheeDoc 0 Posted February 24, 2020 Author Posted February 24, 2020 That's it working. Many thanks for your help Luke. Cheers, Hugh.
