Team,

1. Has anyone found success in getting Emby Theater to open and close using a standard ehome TV Remote?

2. Likewise with Cyberlink PowerDVD15? (or any version)

Are there any command line arguments that help when using PowerDVD as an external player other than just {Path}?

Hi, have you checked powerdvd documentation regarding their command line?

Yes no luck there. Was hoping someone has already accomplished the open/close Emby with TV remote or knew how to use the command line features in Emby to make cool stuff happen.

accomplished the open/close Emby with TV remote

If you're referring to the green button that is unfortunately more complicated than you might think and requires editing the windows registry to customize the function of the ehome button. @Doofus might know something about that.

You can use the Advanced MCE Remote Mapper Tool to change the functions of the remote control buttons.

I, for example, have the green button mapped to CTRL+ESCAPE, so the start menu opens when pressing the button.

Then I have Emby (and Kodi) fixed in the Windows 10 start menu, so I can move to them with the remote and start it from there.

Don't forget to backup the settings, as you have to restore them after each bigger Windows update.

Here is also some info how to use this tool.

It should also be able to add some hotkeys with third party tools, to directly start Emby or other programs, but I never needed this.

Ciao, Alfred
