Bigmack3000 84
Hey, I started a thread in the General forum here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/79092-problem-with-thumbnail-creation/ But since the folder is somewhere on my Synology, I figured I'd post it here to see if someone can tell me where to find it? Thanks!

Bigmack3000 84
Maybe I'm closer? But once I sign into my nas through SSH, I can get a list out of the catagories in the cache folder, but I don't know how to get a text readout or individual files. FrostByte 5060
WinSCP is probably the best tool for navigating/editing/reading your folders from a windows machine. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/77665-how-to-enable-writedelete-permissions-via-sshwinscp/?hl=winscp
Bigmack3000 84
unfortunately, I'm doing this from a Mac desktop.
FrostByte 5060
The first part of that is setting up permissions so your account can have full access to files on your NAS. You can really use whatever Mac tool you want after that.
FrostByte 5060
Once your permissions are set up then if you want a gui you could probably use something like FileZilla to navigate your NAS from your mac and then it should open whatever program is associated with a particular file extension. I'm not a Mac person though
Bigmack3000 84
Followed all the steps in that link. Got this while trying to connect in Filezilla: Error: Received unexpected end-of-file from SFTP server Error: Could not connect to server I don't know. This is getting pretty intensive now just to check my thumbnail images. Luke, is there really no other way for this? or any other way to fix a film that didn't create thumbnails? Luke 37246
Try renaming the video file so that it gets re-imported into the library. Then run a scan and see what happens.
