mastrmind11 717
Just realized I haven't heard the wolf howl all month and wondering if this is still a thing or if the config changed? I haven't disabled seasonal themes on my devices unless they require a different config since last season. lmk

darkassassin07 423
I have my 'Theme:' and 'Server dashboard theme:' both set to 'dark', as well as 'allow automatic seasonal themes' enabled but I don't think I have ever seen a seasonal theme come to think of it :/ If I manually change to 'halloween' there is definitely a noticeable change, but automatically applied themes don't seem to be working for me. Happy2Play 8282
I know it works/worked previously but just don't know the threshold of when it is applied and removed.

trusselo 220
my machine does not show the seasonal theme, but it does for my users.... most of use use chome webapp, few use android TV/phone and chromecast its all spooky on my father's tv but not mine at home. I have theme set to dark, and the check box for seasonal themes is checked. I have tried unchecking/checking the box to no avail. switching users on my machine does not show seasonal theme on my PC.... my PC is not the emby server.... This is weird. ebr 14913
Hi. For Halloween, it is only automatically applied for a couple of days. The Holidays theme lasts a bit longer.

Guest asrequested
Hi. There is just one on each app. Huh? So there's only one theme per app, and they're different? I believe they were asking for a list of themes to look at, to see what was available.
Happy2Play 8282
From a web client perspective there is only one "Halloween". But this question comes up every year, so I would assume it should be documented somewhere. What Seasonal themes do we have and when are they applied and how long they are applied.
ebr 14913
Currently we have two - Halloween and Holidays. Halloween is only for a couple days right on that holiday. Holidays is for a week or so around the end of the year holidays. They are meant to be kind of a fun "surprise" but they can also be selected manually if you wish. Only available themes. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/emby-webcomponents/tree/master/themes Edited October 22, 2019 by Happy2Play

miniliQuid 85
Soundeffect is part of "theme songs". If you have theme songs enabled it should give the wolf howl when going to "homepage/start screen". If you disable theme songs, the howl won't sound, nor will it play theme songs for shows. That is not correct. If you choose the theme manually, it currently does not play the sound effect. The thinking being that you may want the color scheme all year but that howl would be annoying every time you opened the app... (my cat takes cover every time that thing sounds )
ebr 14913
oh continuity where are thou? I increased the scope of the theme last year due to popular demand. I thought we had done that across the board.
riothamus 51
Same here. I loved having the Halloween theme pop up automagically in the web app last Halloween season. It isn't happening for my web app installation this year. I have mine set to automatically display seasonal themes as well, but nothing has changed for me.
