Separate user recodrings

How do I make it so that each user has their own DVR TV Recordings folder/library.

 

I have a separate user setup for my mother to use via Roku in tv in living room, want to give her ability to record shows...however, in my testing, it appears that their is only one global Recording path/folder. So any thing ever user set to record, shows up in that single folder/library, for all to see.

 

I need to have her recordings separate from my own....I don't to see all her soaps...nor do I want her(or any other user) to see my recordings.

Really? That kinda defeats the purpose of having separate user accounts then eh? If the DVR part is just global to all users.

Sounds like to me no one ever noticed/inquired about this kinda thing?

I know that that other home dvrs/media servers can do it, kinda a basic part of setup.

 

Gues then, this a feature request?

 

I was thinking perhaps that the folder sync plugin could be setup to auto move files to that users made up library, however, that is an all in clusive folder sync, it wont be able to tell what recordings were made by what user.

odd i found nothing via using the search here. guess i wasnt using the right terms. "separate user recordings" says nothing found

This forum software search engine is horrible and has been brought up before.  I usually just google search "separate user recordings emby".

+1 for per user DVR Recording folders.

This would be an amazing feature as right now anyone with access to the DVR feature can delete anyone's recordings. 

There may be an argument to be made about multiple users recording the same thing and wasting disk space, but honestly this is trivial.

It would also be prudent to setup a per user disk space quota, and both default and per user retention settings that can be configured by an admin user.
