Sometimes when searching for a movie to watch I will set numerous filter criteria (Unplayed - Action - 2014 - PG13) for example.

After Ive found what Im looking for its sort of cumbersome to have to go back in and unselect all the above individually.

Any chance we can get a "clear all" button of some sort to get you back to viewing your entire library unfiltered?

Plex does this and its very convenient.

Thanks!

I'd like to also throw my hat in for this request to easily remove all filters.

Then why the heck does Luke say it's in 4.6?
Now I'm confused...

@Luke, what was this post of yours (the one marked as solution in this topic) referring to if the "clear all" button isn't implemented yet?

to me this is the problem with marking things as a solution. you can't tell who has done it.

has luke marked it as solved because he has implemented it or has the OP marked it as solved because luke has said he will implement it. in this case i think its the second and it hasnt yet been done

It is sort of there in 4.6 but only in conditions that remove all items.

It might be there in some edge cases but it definitely isn't there as a user would expect it.
A dev saying it is in 4.6 and then not seeing it there isn't really satisfactory from a user point of view.

So, if I understand your screenshot correctly then we have a clear button if the selected filters are not applicable.
Question: Who the hell filters to end up with no results? (apart from testing)
The real use-case is having multiple filter criteria that are applicable and show results.

Just my 2 cents though...

Just thought I'd jump in to add my support for a "Clear Filters" button on ANY screen that is currently filtered.

Can we get this in the header for filters.

Or another way to reset filters as a lot of these check/uncheck filter options can be tedious.

Just had a situation (using 4.7.5.0) where a "Clear All" filter option would have been nice.

Was filtering a music library by a bunch of years and it was mildly tedious to have to uncheck everything again after I was finished..

The multi-select lists will have a new Select None button at the bottom starting in the upcoming 4.7.6 release.

Shouldn't that be at the top...?  Why have to scroll all the way down to clear them?

You don't. It has a fixed position.

As long as you have a pointing device.  With a TV remote, you'd still have to scroll the entire list, no?

True, Yes. I guess it could go at the top.

I am very much for this!  I have trouble finding the option to clear the filters.  I've illustrated my idea before checking if it was already here, so here it goes:

Thanks!
