schmitty 65 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Hi, Metadata needs to be saved for extras, in order to be able to keep names and screengrabs when metadata is refreshed. 1
Luke 38844 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Try using the metadata editor and clicking save. 1
SikSlayer 237 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Try using the metadata editor and clicking save. Will this export a .nfo file of the same name with the metadata in there? Long ago (years), I tried this, and it didn't, so I've been doing it manually. If so, thanks, myself from years ago would be happy to hear. And if not, well, there's this feature request I'd like to make...
GloverEggs 6 Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 Not only does using the metadata editor not create a file at the mkv file location, but it will not read a nfo file for extras if there is already one there. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
Happy2Play 9142 Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 @@Happy2Play are you able to reproduce? I haven't seen a nfo for extras and using the editor on a extra and hitting save does not create one (stable and beta). Placing on in the extras folder has no affect either.
Luke 38844 Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 Ok, support for that is something we can look at in a future update. Thanks. 1
GloverEggs 6 Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 Thank you! At least I know I'm not going crazy. Any guidance on where the Emby extra metadata (when you edit in Emby) is being saved?
funwithmedia 364 Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 Any guidance on where the Emby extra metadata (when you edit in Emby) is being saved? Probably just in the Emby database, would be my guess.
Happy2Play 9142 Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 Yes if there is no nfo the information only resides in the database.
