OK, I'm at my last bit of patience with PLEX and think I'm ready to take the plunge but would like to ask one last time.
I've freed up a slot in my main server where I already have PLEX running with 2 Hauppauge quad PCI cards. I'll add a third quad PCI that I have running in my test server with EMBY and will move it to the existing server making 3 quad PCI cards total.
IF I understand things correctly, I no longer need to install the Hauppauge software for EMBY to used the Quad PCI card. IS THAT CORRECT?
My concern is that installing the Hauppauge software will interfere somehow with PLEX.
ALSO, does EMBY support MPEG2 direct to ROKU devices (no transcoding)? THIS IS IMPORTANT TO ME!
Initial config will be using only 1 of the 3 quad PCI cards for EMBY but should it perform as expected I'll delete another one of the cards from PLEX and add it to EMBY.
Is all this correct? Are there any other potential conflicts running both platforms on the same server? Please indicate if you've actually done this along with your response.
THANKS in advance.
PS - I presume the above refund offer still holds true ????
If you decide to upgrade within a week of purchase, we will refund it.
