Hello.

Trying out emby live TV tuner with my IPTV provider . Works as expected, so far (besides some missing features, as groups, that are being worked on). So, I see that there are same services that support IPTV as well ( TVmosaic, headend, etc) Is there any benefit using one of these services instead of the build in tuner

No benefit. Doing that would just add an additional layer of complexity.

@deckoff it all depends on your own demands, what you want to do regarding advanced channel management and advanced recording schedules.

Channel management in Emby is still not user friendly (compared to other backends) and is still work in progress for a long time already. Advanced recording options in Emby is also limited to basic functions.

But if you don't need all of this in Emby, Emby is an excellent choice for basic needs with IPTV, so that you don't have to use another backend.

I wont mind groups provided from IPTV playlist :) I dont record at all :) Favourite channels stored on the server would be nice.

Thanx for the answers

Hi.  You can mark channels as favorites now and turn on an option to have those sort to the top of your guide.
