jfgilliam 26 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 Please add a count on each of the series cards to show how many upcoming recordings are in the schedule.
ebr 15427 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 How would we display it such that it would be obvious what it was?
jfgilliam 26 Posted September 28, 2018 Author Posted September 28, 2018 maybe put the count in the middle of the red circle?
Carlo 4478 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 That could get really "personal". By this I mean everyone would want the number to display differently. Is it every count of the show (new & old)? Is it new episodes only? Is it only episodes on specific channels? There are so many options we can set to determine what does and doesn't get recorded that this number is mostly meaningless.
jfgilliam 26 Posted September 28, 2018 Author Posted September 28, 2018 If it showed in other places, I would agree. But maybe if it only showed on the series page, it would only represent what was about to record (within your schedule duration) based on how you setup the series recording.
Carlo 4478 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 So in a nutshell you count every occurrence of the series as shown in the Schedule Tab or listed at the bottom of the series view and put that number on the series. That would be useful but would be a lot more taxing SQL query.
jfgilliam 26 Posted September 28, 2018 Author Posted September 28, 2018 That's how I envisioned it, such that when you do drill into it, the count matches the list at the bottom of the series view. But, if it is going to kill performance, it's only a nice to have. But, once you implement the ability to create a series with filters. It would be very useful. Such as, creating a "College Football" series where only "Alabama" is in the title. 1

I think we would end up having to constantly answer questions about what the count means.
unisoft 310 Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Normally you click the programme and it then details "Upcoming recordings" - this is how Virgin Media UK TIVO does it. Its based on your recording criteria set for the programme.
