Happy2Play 8281
You followed the wiki, correct? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Running%20Emby%20Server%20as%20a%20Windows%20Service
Luke 37058
Hi, yes it works just fine, please make sure to follow the instructions in our wiki. Please let us know if this helps. thanks !
RobWayBro 27
Here is what I have run across when using it. I have all my media on an external NAS, so the service has to start with a user that has permission to access the NAS, or whatever external media you are using. agood 0
Thanks, Luke. Yes I followed the wiki and the instructions. Still, the service does not start with Windows....(Windows 10, 64 bit, 1709 build)
KMBanana 84
Could you post screenshots of your NSSM application tab for when you set up the service?
austie 3
@@Luke Is there a way to still get the NSSM? Or is there an alternative way to get Emby to start as a service?
Luke 37058
It's on chocolatey: https://chocolatey.org/packages/NSSM Although make sure to read the user comments because there are some complaints. We'd like to make another go of how we'd handle windows service integration, but i can't say when that might happen.
pwhodges 1527
I don't know about complaints; I've been using nssm on multiple machines (on servers at work as well as at home) for many years and have never had a single problem with it.
