stuartsjg 2
Hi, did you follow the instructions in the first post of this topic? thanks. Hello, I was not 100% sure if i did so i started a fresh. Followed the instructions on the first page, and then done cp -R /mnt/z1array/Jails/emby_1/var/db/emby-server/ /mnt/iocage/jails/emby-server/root/var/db/emby-server/ from my old warden jail folder ontop of the new folder and emby loaded without issue, old users, media etc. I added the storage via the jail GUI and things are working fine for the most part. Interestingly initially i had no thumbnails or images, but i tried the permissions settings again and this appeared to fix it, i had noticed an error on the dashboard saying coverart could not update due to permission error. Again, a miracle that following the instructions fixes things However... On some media files i get an error reporting (after playing via chrome PC browser) there is no steam and the logs like like the following: 2018-12-29 11:34:56.205 Application version: 3.5.3.0 makarai 108
Hi, you can fix this if you install the beta in a new jail, I guess the stable still has this bug, or you install the proper libx264 packages.

jjnova 0
I know I am replying to a thread that's months old, but I wanted to comment that the below helped me immensely. It was a pain to find out why videos weren't playing (FreeNAS11.2-STABLE) and eventually I found in the logs that ffprobe was failing, and it was related to "libx264.so.152 not found". I didn't use the exact link below since there have been beta updates since then, but if anyone else stumbles across the problem with their FreeNas version of Emby not playing movies or video (music sometimes worked, and pictures worked), I recommend figuring out how to access the jails shell and updating to a beta release. I used https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/3.6.0.83/emby-server-freebsd_3.6.0.83_amd64.txz and while you are add it update to the newest beta it works flawelessly service emby-server stop pkg add -f https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/3.6.0.55/emby-server-freebsd_3.6.0.55_amd64.txz service emby-server start Thanks constrict

giacombum 1
I'm trying to install the package on FreeNAS 11.3-U1 using the method proposed in the first post. I modified inside the emby-server.json file, the 11.2-RELEASE entry to 11.3-RELEASE. Anyway, it seems that the name for the official Emby plugin has been changed from emby-server to emby, so in order to keep things more close to the standard release, it could be possible to modify the emby-server.json installing file and also the official packages from Emby.Releases?
