If metadata has already been pulled for these episodes, will they update after they (TVDB) are finished? Or, will I have to pull them out and start over?

No as the information has already been imported for the episodes so you would have to Refresh Metadata-Replace all to get the information.

Ok, thank you!

What about the Playlists issue?  They are gone.  The folders and files are still there, but not showing anywhere.  Should I start a new topic for this?

CChris

@@CChris Hi,

Today I've noticed that Emby isn't able to collect meta-information for some of the TV Shows I've recently added - or more detailed, for some seasons of a show.

e.g.:

I've started with importing Episodes for the Show Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Discovery

For the Next Generation, everything went fine for Season 1 to 3

With Season 4 I've had some issues with the DVD Disk, so I needed to skip some Episodes.

All Episodes after this aren't recognized correctly...

I have the following error in the Emby-Server:

Also, the same for Star Trek Discovery ... I've had half of the Season 1 imported, and everything was fine - today, I wanted to do the rest, but all Episodes, I've just added can't be identified by emby.

In the Admin Area, I just noticed, that yesterday evening the Plugin Tvdb was "installed"...

I have some doubts, that it could be related to this... ?!

@@Luke, thanks!
I've just noticed, that the links are providing an 404 error... :-(
I will try to use another provider.

Adding several other Providers in the Library settings, seemed to work fine.

The interesting part is, that tvdb has worked for the last couple of days, when I've started with adding the Shows...When it stopped, it seemed to be around the same time, when the plugin was installed, as shown in my screenshot above.
Also, I am a bit confused, that the plugin was not updated, since I thought, it was already installed.

nonyhaha

Hello everybody @@nonyhaha

I just decided to install Emby after using plex for a few years now. I opted to do this because I am tuning my server with a brand new quadro p400 card and I am opting for a free option to hardware transcode.

First thing I was able to see is that the android app and web interface are a lot faster than plex, which is a blast for me especially, having a few series on my server.

I have read this topic and the latest changes these days to thetvdb, but I wanted to double check with you if my issue is general or it extends to some other aspects.

I have a folder, named "Serii" which contains 53 folders with tv cartoon series. They are all named correctly, as per emby/plex guidlines. On the plex server, these have been indexed and populated a long time ago so pictures and organizing is all ok.

On the emby server, it looks like metadata is being downloaded, nfo files and episode pics are being generated in the data folders of each season.

All is in there except the show's picture and season's pictures are missing. When I try to identify each show, the search results in absolutely no answer. Even if I search by imdb id, tvdb id, or the name of the show.

And, on top of that, only 4 shows have the pictures and I can also chose other pictures when going to edit them. (although some of the seasons are not displaying them)

I really do not understand why these 4 shows are ok and the others are not...

Should I do something differently? where should I start looking into this?

Thanks!

P.S. I tried manually downloading the images from thetvdb, naming them accordingly and putting them in the specific folder, and they show up in emby. Now I do not know why they do not download automatically.

I also added a tv shows library, and it mixed up my Outer limits 1963 with the outer limits 1995. they all show up as one and at this moment I am trying to find out how to separate them...

@@Kodi_Newcomer Whats going wrong here. I have some records waiting for auto organize, but all the time i tried it, the recordings are marked red. Also when i try it manual. Here in the log i have found some errors. Maybe there is a bug. For some days, it works good, what i can see.

A movie was added manual by me over the auto organize and it works good. I think he has only problems with the series. Here a port from the log, the rest as attached file.

Either TVDB is still updating/migrating or the api queries needs updating.

As v3 of the API is coming, maybe they are shuting down v1 with the ability to download zip files forever.

Not sure if this is related but for a single series (Thunderbirds) Emby is not retrieving any data apart from the series information but episodes, images etc. are not retrieved.

If I try to identify then the results window is just blank. The weird thing is that instead of using the TVDB ID I instead searched using the IMDB ID but that doesn't return any results either.

For another series everything appears to be OK except for the next up part where titles show up as s1:e1 title instead of 1. title.

Edit: The next up titles are messed up for all series with new episodes.
