HEVC support in Emby Theater UWP

Hi,

I'm a currently a Plex user, but planning to switch to Emby, because Plex's UWP app is very buggy and unstable.

The one thing that is stopping me now, is hevc support in Emby Theater UWP, AFAIK UWP apps support hevc natively through the extension app: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/hevc-video-extension/9n4wgh0z6vhq (And both Movies & TV app and Plex UWP support it very well)

But in my testing, the UWP app always transcode hevc content.

Is it disabled in the app? And when do you plan to add it?

Thanks for your reply, here is the log of server and the ffmpeg transcoding log.

 

Server version: 3.3.1.0

Emby Theater version: 1.1.203.0

 

PS: I deleted my server IP address from the logs.

 

Edit: the item direct plays fine using Emby Theater Desktop app, I attached the server logs for its session in case they are of help.

Because of your support in the forum, I will buy Lifetime Premiere, even if the bug takes time to be fixed.

For me the most important thing is the respect that a company shows to its customers (unlike other companies...)
