echoxxzz 22 Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Several of my IPTV channels stutter (mostly it's the audio) when I use a browser. I have tried Chrome, Firefox and Edge and it happens in browsers. But there is no stuttering when I use Emby Theatre or the EMBY mobile apps. Can't seem to find a solution but I thought it worth mentioning.
Luke 39319 Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Can you please discuss a specific example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
Tur0k 144 Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 I agree with Luke, check your server log. How many threads do you have enabled in (server dashboard - transcoding)? Do you have "enable throttling" checked in (server dashboard - transcoding)? Do you have hardware acceleration enabled (server dashboard - transcoding)? are you running an aftermarket ffmpeg? I upgraded to a Zeranoe ffmpeg x64 (server dashboard - transcoding). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
maegibbons 1268 Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Stuttering of Audio ONLY is very rare because audio bitrate is very low compared to video. You usually get stuttering video if there are bandwidth issues. Audio can be down to codec issues. You need to provide the file format info displayed nicely in the web app of the media in question. Also if it is transcoding, provide transcode logs from the server so we can see what it is converting to/from.. The last thing you need to do is try it on another PC/Laptop to make sure it is not device specific. KRs Mark
