Chromecast does not passthrough AC3 or EAC3

Hi!

 

 

It seems that emby won't allow me to use EAC3 or AC3 with my Chromecast Ultra.

 

Is this intended behaviour? It should be able to passthrough it to my reciever.

Hi @@jhs, it sure does ! We use a google cast api on the receiver that tells us whether ac3 is supported by your audio equipment or not.  Best thing to do is discuss an example by providing the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !

Hello, and thank you for your quick reply.
 
I tried playing an EAC3 file, but it only plays AC3, so my original post is a bit wrong. My mistake.
 
But, it still removes the "E" when it can play EAC3 just fine. I have attached the server logs, and the "remux" log from the file.

 

I hope you can see the mistake, when looking through the logs.

hi @@jhs, I've pushed an update to our chromecast receiver. Please reboot your chromecast device and try again. Let me know if it direct plays now. thanks !
