Luke 38356
I think this is a nice idea. There is some general development to existing features that needs to happen and I would say would come ahead of this, but perhaps later this year.

bakes82 132
@Lukecan this be implemented with a plug-in? Can we override the recommendation items or add a 2nd row?

Let's say if it was, the content already has to be in the emby server database, rather than just arbitrary. Is this what you're expecting? Trakt recommendations that also exist in the server library? Pull the trakt api endpoint and then use the tvdb/imdb ids to find items in library.

Recommendations add so much to the user experience. Maybe add also more recommendations to the home page. I love Emby, but feels so dull every time I start it, I can't decide what to watch, static lists to go through are not good enough. Recommendations would improve this so much, just like Netflix does. Recommendations would improve this so much, just like Netflix does. We can add some more randomization into the lists. The issue with doing that when you have a small library is that it increases the chances of seeing content that you feel doesn't belong.
amolakjoshi 2
Trakt or IMDb/TVDB recommendations integration with a plugin, would be a great addition to the homepage. A scheduled task could track changes for popular and trending/custom lists on Trakt and, if that content is available in the Emby Library, display it at the top of the Home Screen. This could include a grid showcasing Trending Movies and Trending TV shows. One feature I miss from Plex is the ability to use PMM to create custom lists and collections.
enJOyIT 2
Yes, this would be a nice feature! I wonder that this thread is so old and literally nothing happend in this direction? Quote There is some general development to existing features that needs to happen and I would say would come ahead of this, but perhaps later this year. This was posted about 4 years(!) ago.
