Steinar79 0 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) Hello everyone! I followed the these instructions. That went fine until version 3.1.2, and the latest version, 3.2.0, still have the same problem. When I'm streaming video with the original quality it plays fine, but as soon I start to choose lower bitrate it will not play. Earlier when I used version 3.1.1 (I believe) the CPU went up to almost 100% in htop when I played at lower bitrate, which is normal. Now nothing happens, the CPU is almost idle and the video is not playing. To me it looks like the ffmpeg transcoding, or something, is not started when I choose lower bitrate. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? What I've tried: - Upgrading with pkg update/upgrade - Updating manually (extracting Mono.zip to /usr/local/lib/emby-server) - Reinstalled ffmpeg and emby. - Installed newer version on a brand new jail. - Changed the temp transcoding path from default and made sure it's writable. Nothing works, except rolling back to version 3.1.1.. EDIT: See solution here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/44941-no-more-able-to-play-in-browser/?p=425502 Edited March 10, 2017 by Steinar79
Steinar79 0 Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 (edited) I gave up on this for now and installed Ubuntu server in Bhyve, everything works fine in Ubuntu. Is there really no FreeBSD users with the same problem or a developer who can confirm/refute its a bug? Is it just me? Thank you Edited February 14, 2017 by Steinar79
Luke 39662 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 If you can provide the server and transcoding log we can take a look. Thanks !
Steinar79 0 Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) Looks like Emby actually works better with Ubuntu in Bhyve than native in a FreeBSD jail, so I'll stick with that. The Linux versions seems to be more officially supported and actively maintained, with an up to date repository. But thanks anyway :-). Edited February 17, 2017 by Steinar79
