kanipek 229 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Is there a way to stop the creation/downloading of metadata for programs that I record? I am getting a tvshow.nfo and now with 3.1.0000 also a showname.SxxExx.nfo for each recording. I have tried using .ignore files - this isn't working for me. I have real time monitoring unchecked for the recording library. Am I missing a setting somewhere? server-63617684968.txt
Luke 38535 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 It creates metadata based on the EPG data. The checkboxes that you've configured above dictate whether or not the server will attempt to supplement with additional internet metadata, and it looks like you've already disabled that. But it will still save using the data from the guide entry.
kanipek 229 Posted December 19, 2016 Author Posted December 19, 2016 So there is no way to disable that feature? I see a box in Livetv-->settings "Download internet metadata for programs listed in the guide I am not sure what disabling this will do. Thanks for reading and any help!
Solution Luke 38535 Posted December 19, 2016 Solution Posted December 19, 2016 That will reduce the amount of data you'll get, both for the guide and recordings, but there is currently no way to prevent the nfo generation. 1
