Hello,

 

I have an error on Emby for Kodi. 

I updated my server and Emby for Kodi, and since, all features of Emby for Kodi doesn't work...

 

I tried with Beta and stable versions of Kodi for Emby with the same result. I reset all settings and emby database : same things... 

I tried many settings but nothing works. I have no more idea. Please can you help me.

 

In the log, the problem seem on Emby.Database. It's alway the same kind of error :

Value: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 1: ordinal not in range(128)

Hey there, do you have special characters in your device name or server name or user name?

Hello,

 

I don't have a special character on user credential and server name

Possibly I have a special character on a folder binded in Emby for Video for Video library (folder name : Vidéos)

 

Yesterday I rollback to version 2.2.19 of Emby for Kodi and It work fine. I tried a new version (3.2) and I alway have the same bug

Hello,

 

Where I can check the device name ? Is-it the server name ?

And why with previous version all work find ? Sound like a regression bug ?

In the addon settings, if it use alternate device name is unchecked, verify in the kodi settings > service

Sorry for my respond time, I wil check that I I respond to you.

But I reset all addons settings many time for testing so you can consider that I have default settings.

Hello

 

You've right. You have found the issue. I have the deviname set to Télévision. I have changed to TV and all seem to work fine.
