Do I understand correctly this only works with MBT, not MBC? Too bad, if so. Most people who have to stick with WMC for Live TV also stick with MBC, I think. I stick with MBC because it has better sorting and view variations at present.

Just got my first smart phone (Android) for Xmas, so this is intriguing.

Oh... one note. Keep in mind that when you post dates like 02/01/2014, your USA readers are going to think that means Feb 1 instead of the Jan 2 you obviously meant. :D  Safer to just say Jan 2.

It should work with MBC as well @pagali, have been away so never got a chance to test it. will install MBC tonight and make sure, everyones liking MBT too much here :D

and lmao at the dates, USA should get with the rest of the planet it's us they confuse :P but noted mate and will try to watch for it.

Brendon, I installed the remote last night and tried it out - nice and easy to get it up and running and in general all seems to be working OK, although I didn't have a detailed play with the remote yet - will do at the weekend. However, one thing I did notice is that some of the icons, primarily those in the function panel, panel of may colours and panel with no name are very small on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4). Say 25% of the size of the other icons...

will look into that @aspdend i have picked up one of those cheap and nasty tablets to test the larger interface but unified is telling me i dont have licence (which i do) so waiting to hear back from the guys there so i can fix.

suggest naming the remote "Media Browser Theater Remote" to avoid confusion, and from what i hear, MB kinda dropping the '3' thing.

some of the buttons show up super small on my Samsung Galaxy S4 with 1080x1920 screen

glad to see others using this too now, and to get an official remote on the way.  Have you contacted the dev of unified remote to see about having it included when its finished?  since you are on the promo team, perhapse could setup some affiliate type program. we throw up a link to him and vice-versca.

read the blog at unified remote.com and there is big changes in the pipes!

I have spoken to unified about a licencing issue i am having and did mention to them i wanted to submit it for inclusion, however as you said big changes are happening both there and here, i will redo the remote for unified 3 and put it here, however i would prefer to hold off on an official inclusion at install until MBT is closer to finished.

and yep onto the buttons issue mate.

Thanks for the remote but one issue, the Full Feature Remote does not fill the full screen on my Nexus 7 (2012).The Basic fills quite nicely.

Any quick fixes for this??

Rew

Will double check the script now mate i would imagine it's a scrolling issue, i forced a scroll for smaller screens and only just grabbed a cheap 7" tab while i was away. Will test some large screen issues including buttons and they will be sorted in the next day or so.

@trusselo @aspdend this is looking like an S4 issue guys, have installed it onto a 7" tab and buttons resize out fine, all the buttons that are small are custom ones i made, so will hit the samsung forums and find out why, guessing it's format though i have had issues with my S2 not resizing things as it should.

Is there any way to bring up the show info to be able to select subtitles, audio language, etc. or would I need a keyboard for that?

Which does not work to bring up the media info display in MBT. I've been able to do it with my Harmony One remote, and a physical keyboard (of course) but my secondary HTPC doesn't have an IR blaster, so I use Unified Remote on it. Not all subtitles are enforced by default (I am not going to re-encode thousands of videos to enforce the subtitles). Some of my anime has both English and Japanese audio and English subs. The English audio and English subs are both enforced by default and I want to either turn off subs or change to Japanese audio. Other times the sub is a separate file which I want to turn on (LOTR Elvish subs for example). See my issue?

I tried to get this to work, but the remotes didn't show up.  It may have something to do with the new Unified Remote version installing in different directories?  I tried moving things around to where they should go, but the MB remotes never show up.  Any update to your remotes?

Just thought I'd let everyone know I've began work on a custom remote for Emby Theater which works with Unified Remote app v.3  I'm new to Unified Remote so it could take me a while to learn what is possible as far as building a custom remote, but will let everyone know when I have an early version finished which everyone can try out.  The cool thing about Unified Remote is it now lets you use IR as well as the WiFi or bluetooth connections.  I own an HTC One M8 phone which has an IR sensor.  I've already been able to use the learning IR function to control my Onkyo receiver, Vizio TV and everything which my Logitech Harmony One remote is set up to do.  Unified Remote is a pretty cool app for turning your phone or tablet into a great HTPC remote!

Until I finish the remote I'm using one of my phone's home pages as a full page Unified Remote widget.  With the widget you see below I'm able to launch and exit MBT, turn on/off my Onkyo receiver and Vizio TV, control volume on the Onkyo and navigate MBT.  The MB button allows me to launch Chrome to my home page for "Radio Paradise" playback.  When building this widget I was able to have my phone learn IR codes from both my Onkyo and Vizio remote.  A good compromise while I finish the custom remote:

How many files should be extracted?

An Icons folder and 3 files were extracted.  Is this correct?

The remote will not show up in Unified Remote.  I am using Windows 10 x64.

Nice work, I have Unified remote control for manage several pc's for  wol, restart, power off, very nice piece of software, nice to know it could be used to remote control MB 3 Server. as I only use MB3 for server not for playing, Kodi is my client media player, what would be nice if the remote could link to manager users and devices. Anyway, I shall give it a try this weekend.

Cheers!
