Good day,

Can you test this naming:

Alien Covenant (2016) - UHD.mkv      (This one is HVEC 4K)

Alien Covenant (2016).mkv                 (This HD)

My best

With multi-version support you currently do not get control over which version is displayed. It's a new thing and something we can look at fleshing out in the future. t hanks.

Thanks for the reply ebr but it's not so much about having control but try to understand the logic behind the actual behaviour

No luck still get the same result. x264 cover with HVEC in the movie details page.

I have a similar issue.  I'm unable to get these 4K ULTRA HD covers to shop up at all:

4k-01.JPG

I have this under Specific Covers:

4k-02.JPG

At first I tried just the Default -> UHD, but that didn't work either.  No matter what I put in this section, my covers look like this:

4k-03.JPG

And yes, they are all 4K titles.  Example: (Apollo 13)

4k-06.JPG

I don't have this issue with my BRD and DVD titles: (they share the same library)

4k-04.JPG

I have tried refreshing all metadata and clearing browser cache, all to no avail.

What am I missing?

Like this?

Doesn't make a difference unfortunately.  The above screenshot as after trying that several times.

Here you go Luke.

Looking near the bottom of the attached log file, I see this:

Do you have the cover by definition instead of type option selected for that profile in CoverArt?

I do not.  I did try that and refreshed the metadata, but it still did not change the cover, so I went back to the default of that option not being selected.

I restarted Emby (not the physical server), and now I just get a spinning circle when I try to go into one of the CoverArt profiles.  Log as follows:

Can I please see a log in debug mode (restart server after turning on) when you refresh one of these items with CoverArt active?

Also, be sure that the profile you setup in CA exactly matches how the library is defined in library setup.

Thanks.

Debug log attached.  (log if from after restarting Emby and refreshing a title)

Also, here's how my Movie Library is configured:

And the corresponding CA config:

Thanks

Ok since you're running the beta server i can work with you to chase this down and resolve it. Later this week we should have a new beta server up. At that point if there's still an issue then I can deep dive into that cover art code and put up new cover art builds. i just can't do that right now due to the in-progress changes. thanks.

Thanks Luke.  I totally understand this is not a high priority right now.  I'll report back once I'm on the new beta server.

Just a quick note that the issue resolved itself when I moved all my media to a new location.  After Emby was done scanning everything, the covers were showing the correct type (DVD, Blu-Ray, 4K).

I should note that I still had the spinning wheel when attempting to change the default treatment from MetroCase to Case (rounded corners).  But switching from the Chrome to the Edge browser resolved that.  I realized this was a browser issue when I tried doing something else and had the same issue.

Not sure why Chrome isn't working for everything anymore as I thought that was the recommended browser, but I suppose it could have to do with me running the Beta version of Emby.

I'm running the latest official version:

Google Chrome is up to date
Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)
